Spanish Republican rocket-powered, T-tailed sesquiplane with spats - fighting pterodactyls!
Also found this contraption which looks like something right out of Ma.K ZbV 3000!
Looks very whiffable - take a Me 109, a Me 262, a couple of figures, some Evergreen tubing, add a couple of bits'n'bobs and you're golden!
Both found HERE (http://conceptships.blogspot.com/2009/08/mike-doscher-concept-ships.html)

Perhaps the Republicans escaped defeat by time-travelling to a different dimension or version of Earth, where the eternal battle continues.....

The spanish Repub rocket plane looks like its based on a hurricane (canopy framing, tailfin) could easily apply to anything though! Great finds!

I think its closer to some of the Nieuport products from the mid-thirties, but its a beauty whatever the source.
-
Found Mike Doscher's deviantart account >>HERE<< (http://malaveldt.deviantart.com/gallery/). He calls it a "Nieuport Rocket Fighter". It's from the RPG "Rocketship Empires: 1936". There's more:
Rocket-powered Rata (although the Nationalist war zeppelin mayb e even cooler!):

The first pic is the weekly header , called the Black Hornet by its creator (http://karanak.deviantart.com/)
A brief tour of previous posts (http://conceptships.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html)also yields some interesting ideas .
-
That looks like the result of a night of drunken debauchery between a Jigabachi and a Tachikoma. I like it.
-
I like the descriptions of the "carriage variants" - "military", "civilian" and "WTF?" ;D

-
Yeah, I like that H.ARM suit, half-way between a mech & proposed exoskleletons.
-
Reminds me of a military version of the powerloader from Aliens. There is also one you get to pilot in the AvP2 game.
-
Looks like a simplified version of the AMP suits from Avatar.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe scaled up a tad........ Bad azz either way! Like those colors too.
-
What ever it is, it looks damned nice!

Conceptvehicles has this as a military vehicle ....
-
Not much into computer games but I understand the second is a personal concept while the first has Raptor in action in HALO. Must be on the front page now.

Jugs would be good....or even Rocket armed Beaufighters..........or what about a couple of Tsetse Mosquitos? Looks like a job for the Banff Strike wing to me.

I DO like that!
Presumably it's a submarine too, as it has fins on the connning towers, vertical rudders some distance behind the hull itself and water pouring out of its freeing ports? But why are the lifts lozenge shaped? The aircraft aren't that oddly shaped to need that complication.

lol... just lol.
of all the things to pick up on, you decide that its the lifts which are just too unnecessary :P
brilliant :)
-
of all the things to pick up on, you decide that its the lifts which are just too unnecessary :P
No, just that they're an odd shape and I can't work out why. The rest of it is PERFECT! ;D
-
Actually, this submarine super-carrier makes an odd kind of sense if you assume a world in which the volatile fuels used to propel ICBM's & SLBM's were too volatile & ballistic missile development got no further than short-range tactical/battle-field weapons using more conventional fuels; possibly being air-launched for a limited stand-off capability.
Maybe the lifts are lozenge-shaped for the nuclear missile bombers, which are oddly shaped & which have already taken off, with the fighters now launching to catch them up & escort them to their target?

I like it, that works for me. ;D

Now that's the type of logic I applaud

My guess would be that the artist decided the lifts needed to be stealthed. Best explanation I can come up with. I like the design
and concept, but the subamarine elements are more jarring to me than the shape of the lifts.

The passing away of Ralph McQuarrie has produced a large post of his work on the current frontpage.

The current frontpage (http://conceptships.blogspot.com/2012/06/monthly-header-79-kemp-remillard.html) might be interesting for the UAV Tiltrotors and one man fliers.

The last one (a VTOL fighter) looks like it is inspired by F-22 and X-32.

I think its meant to give it some stealth looks to it, does lifts looks like the bay doors of a F22 or any other hatch, door or what of a stealth plane

Something else on that 'copter... (http://kotaku.com/chinese-newspaper-confuses-the-japanese-military-with-509258501)
-
Reminds me of the time the Chinese media pick up an article from the "Onion" about how pres Bush was going to tear down the white house and replace it with some other building. The "Onion" prints only stories that are pure fiction and quite comical.
-
The same happened again recently with another Onion story: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/28/world/asia/chinese-news-site-cites-onion-piece-on-kim-jong-un.html?_r=0. Fool me once...

These (http://conceptships.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/concept-ships-by-chris-thompson.html) is pretty cool. The first one could be a Boeing/Lockheed/Airbus etc. concept.

Looks very Derek Meddings to me.

Looks like if you can photoshop an image into a real photo background you can fool quite a few people>
