Title: Resin Conversions in 1/48
Post by: wolfik on January 22, 2006, 11:08:25 AM
hi all  ;)
after some thinking and mulling over this and that...I decided to bring some what if conversions in resin....
as first will come the proposed Jet Mossie in 1/48 for the tamyia kit....
nearly everyone has this kit meanwhile and its sometimes cheap to buy so i think its a better basic solution as the airfix one....
the wings will come as complete parts with molded engines on it....
the master is nearly completed and some small parts will be made these days....
the next one will be the conversion for the hasegawas Typhoon to make a Hawkers project P.2009 as a navalized Typhoon...
the Mustang FTB will propably follow...
as sayed all in resin and directly from me....
it is planned to make my own label known as Nepio Model Works in march.  ^_^
I was making masters for kits/conversions  since some years and now its time to make my own "ideas in resin"...
if it will be palmy?....the time will show us(ME?) this answer :dum:
about prices?...I know it must be payable for nearly everybody who wants a not conventional kit/conversion which is not of the rack....
ca.30-35 euros will be a real price at this time...
the conversions will be easy to build and matured for everyone who builds/converts kits with resin parts. -_-
the Mossie is definitely destined to be produced...about the Sea Typhoon is nothing decided....if the interest will be greater as 20 sets so it will be produced...
all sayed...
best regards and email me if anyone interested....no worry its not a commercial commitment   :ar:
Peter NEPIO Nesterak
P.S. any suggestions?my advertising motto is "FROM MODELER FOR MODELERS"

QuoteDont suppose you could do a RR Dart conv. for the P-51?

Shas B)
Shasper,
There's a Dart conversion that's already available made by Heritage Aviation:

http://www.lindenhillimports.com/heritageaviation.htm (http://www.lindenhillimports.com/heritageaviation.htm)

It's a Cavalier Turbo-Mustang III conversion, but, if you're looking to make a model of VH-UFO (ex: RAAF A68-187) as in the photo, it wouldn't take much work using the Heritage set.

HTH,
Mike
