Have some sort of nasty cold or something (got it from the kid <_< ) so I didn't feel it would be smart to work on anything "risky" today.
So, I put together a scratchbuilt box complete with hinged tailgate so I could transform my 1:35 Tamiya 20mm Flugenflakverlingersteinoff (whatever) German flak gun into a utility trailer that I will hitch up to my Tamiya GAZ67B Russian Field Car next to my Kamov Ka-239 helicopter (see other thread).

Also have plans to use the following kits (all 1:35) for this diorama and will update this thread as I progress:
- Tamiya GAZ67B
- Tamiya German Tank Engine Mtce Crew Set (close enough, what do I care?)
- Tamiya Russian Army Tank Crew At Rest Set (will put them to work on the helo, etc.-----no rest for these figures)
- Tamiya Field Tool Shop
- Dragon BRDM-3
At first I didn't read the text and was thinking "Now why the hell did he put a tow-hitch on that helicopter? It's ugly enough already!"

Holy crap Baz! Um, could you build me a 1/1 scale? I need it with a ball hitch, not a pintle hook. ^_^
Guys, this is the kind of work he does when he is SICK !!!!! Amazing scratch there...what a cool diorama this is going to be.
greg
Looks like the real thing! You never cease to amaze me. Excellent work! B) Are you going to put tail lights( that work :P ) on it? Okay, sorry, I know, I'm pushing my luck. ^_^

¡1/35! Love it.....finally I´m not alone around here
Nice scratch John, congrats ^_^
Thanks! I'm not much of an expert on armour so these are going to be interesting for me.
The trailer is primed now. Will be in desert camo and quite dusty.

now now barry, let's not be coy - we both know that this trailer looks killer!
Bazza what kind of primer do you use? I need to get some for when my resin TSR.2 arrives.

Retro:
I do like the look of the trailer, sure, but armour itself still kinda confuses me.
I'm basically stuck following their instructions (which, if they're like a/c models, are never in the best real-world sequence) and there's a lot of stuff that I can't even identify!
Same thing happens when I look at ship model instructions. There's lots in the closest but I feel it will be quite the learning curve until I can pull them off the way I want to.
Zac:
I use Krylon's Grey Sandable Primer (spraycan). Beautiful stuff, I won't even paint without it anymore. Hides minute sanding flaws and blends dissimilar parts together within 2 or 3 coats while leaving even the smallest of raised and engraved details intact. I have not yet encountered any paint or putty that isn't perfectly compatible with it yet, either.
Learned about this stuff from Mark Hopkins, a local, bonafide model-master who owned "The Old Soldier" model store and online shop (closed now).
Beautiful Barry.
Do they have a Krylon at Canadian Tire, eh?
I need some gloss black and I'm not going to Walmart, no way!
;)
Baz once again you amaze me, just the detail that you build into what is essentially a square box.
WoW!!!!

Yep, I believe Crappy Tire is the only place I have found Krylon for the past while...
Cheers Barry!
^_^
Cheers again Barry, I bought a can of Krylon Gloss Black, now I can start working on the Ta 183 again!
