A single engine would not really allow extended flight, but it certainly would permit ( with apologies to Bud Lightyear in Toy Story) Falling with Style!

I'm thinking it terms of enough to extend the glide path, meaning that the tow-plane can turn back sooner. Or last-minute positioning corrections if the intended landing site is unusable for some reason.

I built one of those in 1/72 maybe 50 yrs ago!

Still got it somewhere...............
