Title: Yarnhub Channel - When F-16s ate Hawks for breakfast
Post by: Weaver on January 28, 2025, 11:46:31 PM
This looks like a good channel: quality animations of historic tactical battles, sea air and land.

This one's about the shootdown of five out of six J-21 Jastreb (Hawk) attack aircraft by NATO F-16s during the Yugoslavian civil war.

Oh. That Hawk...
I'm told that an F-16 pilot can be quite upset when an experienced BAE Hawk pilot "shoots him down" in a dogfight excercise.

They can become very upset when an A-4 pilot goes guns-on long enough for a kill during an exercise (Kangaroo '83? I think?), too.

There's some videos on the Aircrew Interview channel in which an American pilot who was working with the Malaysian Air Force had some tales to tell about fighting a Hawk 200.
