And he's back again.
Obligatory box and bits shots.

And inside it

Some parts were carelessly glued together some years back. Incidentally, one of the first kits I ever built.
Simple change of owner, Spain buying them in the early 40s and still using them to bomb fractious Moroccan tribesmen in the 50s. Unsure of scheme but the fetching blue is tempting.
Tbh, a chance to use up something part started and a nostalgia build in the process.
That's not a bad kit. I've built two, methinks, and I still remember them as fun builds.
All of the 1970s Stukas by Airfix benefited from the research done for the 24th scale kit. The series 3 one is better, this is more of a starter kit, but it's still decent enough.

Oooooo! And only last night, was thinking about the old airfix Bf 110, re-engined with motors from Rolls & Royce, peforming similar, in the same scheame! ;D
My build rate is glacial, and i'd be lucky to even open the box by years end!
Ray.
Just the box is wonderful , I love those kits .
Gonna love masking that canopy!! Looks like fun.
I'll be freehand painting the canopy...
Progress so far.

Fuselage together, with the rudder already painted once I'd cleaned it up. Easier to mask off to do it now.
Prop and spats together, and the gap in the wings filled with PPP. I'm using it as I didn't want to sand off the river detail ant other than the rudder it's overall dark blue.

Cockpit interior. Other than paint and some tape belts, I'll be doing nowt else as it can't be seen.
Just go to do a modicum of paintwork in the front and I can close the nose up.
Wings are on. Need my Perfect Plastic Puttys afore I go much further. Really like the rivet detail.

Not sure if I'll be using the big bomb or it's crutch, but I do have some nice resin SC50s for under the wings.
Bombs and guns ..two mounted under the fuselage and timed to fire with the propeller
The guns are outside the propeller arc.
Post-WW2, I'm surprised you didn't go for rockets!? ;)
It's more a nostalgia build than anything else. If it was an Italeri kit with different detail, I may have gone for rockets. They may go on the Jumo engined CASA 1109 Mula instead - I can steal them from the Special Hobby Buchon.
A rocket armed Stuka is something i have never seen and if ya dont use that idea then it possible ill steal it for mine ...butttt i do have another idea for that so if i go with that idea then its up for grabs ;D
I need some Stuka ...
Current progress.

The tailplanes are on after a struggle with the struts, filled again with PPP. the spats were next, but filled with Humbrol as there's no detail at risk.
At this rate, I should have some primer on in z day or do.
Why is the tail white? Did you any changes from the original ?
Sprayed it white when it was easier to do so, as it's going overall blue with Spanish markings.
Other than the markings, some tape seatbelts and added SC50s under the wings*, it's simply an OOB nostalgia build.
*IIRC the series 3 kit had the bombs, plus drop tanks as it was marketed as a B/R.

These are the aforementioned SC50 bombs. It's a spare sprue left over from an Amodel Bf 109K, the rack went on the old Heller K, being finished in similar colours.
