Title: Abandoned aircraft turned into motorhomes
Post by: McColm on November 20, 2021, 11:59:21 AM
Although this is nothing new in the Real World, it could be a very interesting project to do.
Airfix and Matchbox have a range of vehicles that could be converted to be the base for a 1/72 aircraft fuselage minus the wings and tail. Larger scales could also be used.
Examples could be the 1/76 Airfix RAF Recovery Set and the Matchbox
M-19 Tank Transporter.

There was a website about airliners turned into homes so I bet there is stuff about motor homes. I think it was Howard Hughes who turned an aircraft fuselage into a house boat.
A little research is in order.

DC-3s and Boeing 737s seem very popular in turning them into motorhomes.  Learjets and the odd Seaplane as well.
