Title: Nissen Hut prototype Trapezoid style
Post by: tigercat on July 04, 2020, 02:37:22 AM
Several prototypes were constructed of the Nissen Hut before the final design was selected .

The Trapezoid design was a failed prototype rejected in favour of the more familiar semi circular design

It's always puzzled me why the UK government bought huts from a country the UK was at war with.
Why didn't they use Morris or Austin Huts instead?

it's going to have to be the version which was kept by War Office and used during WW2 and received shrapnel damage due to some kind of weird reaction between the glue and corrugated material
