OMG! And I wonder about the airfield where you could start and land this thing?

How about going another step further and make it a hydroplane conversion for beaching assaults?  ;)

A long time ago, I drew such 323Z and related versions, symmetric or not. I may add your one and others, yes.

I think mine is pretty much the top left one, but then with 4 central engines,

Put a V-2/A4 (or better yet, the winged A9/A4b variant) on a pylon under the middle of the center wing and hey presto - the grandfather of Stratolaunch...

True but not that many places where they'd actually do much damage.

Uh... in 1/32 this would require a whole room for itself, and at 1/24 there would be a need to discard the walls between rooms... ;D

Fabulous Tom

I don't think rifle calibre m.g.'s would be able to do that much damage to it. You'd score a lot of hits, but how many would be fatal ?

From what I've read, yes. Mainly because there was no protection to the fuel lines etc.
