Title: BAC JindiWhit, RAE LLanbeder 197*
Post by: JayBee on August 25, 2018, 12:13:16 PM
Here is another desperate attempt to get something built for this GB.
The BAC Jindiwhit.
The basic kit is the Miniwings 1/144 Strikemaster, which is, I have to say, a lovely little kit. You get two in the box, and in this version, markings for New Zealand, Saudia Arabia, and Ecuador. None of which are any good for this model.

The first photo shows the parts for one model.

The next shows the first stages of construction.

Watch this space, preferably with magnifying glasses!

Be neat to see two of them hanging under the wing of a 1/72 scale Strikemaster    ;D

Tailplane and intakes in place.
Now to add some nose weight, and I am using Liquid Steel, which is small steel balls, anything from 0.1 to 0.2mm.
Plus some plasticine to act as a plug.
I used Humbrol Clearfix to hold the first load in place and after that it was the Plasticine. I had to use a small funnel to get the balls in.
Before anyone asks, no-one will be able to see the cockpit interior when this model is finished.

Because being a target it won't have a cockpit as such?

Now for those of you who can not wait to see more.

You can see the main u/c legs and the nose u/c but the bits you want to be looking at are the two small parts in the lower left view. These are the nose u/c doors. HA! No I am not going to use them I will use plasticard instead.
The two to the right of them are the main u/c retraction jacks, and no I have no intention of using them at all!

That's totally silly, I'm amazed they actually bothered to mould them!  :o

Oh I do not know Chris. All things considered, the u/c is quite large.
