Another Group Build UAV which never left the hanger on time. This is the Denel Dynamics Albatross.

A love child between a Heller Fouga Magister and a Skunkworks MQ-9 Reaper.

That looks convincing.  Would that have been a replacement for the Shackleton and Turbo-Dak?

Gives me inspiration for a Bush War-era Kentron UCAV based on the MB.326 / Impala, particularly after the Gecko SAM came into threatre.  Any 1980s Israeli or Taiwanese anti-radar missiles that could be hung on it?

Nice!  Big enough bird to have really long legs and a decent payload.  :)   :thumbsup:

Suggests a whole genre of drones made of obsolescent trainers .... gonna do the Gnat next?    ;)

Thank you for the compliments folks. It is 1/72 Dizzy.  Finished it this morning. Albatross MK.1 in RAF service.

Built from a 1/72 Heller Magister, Skunkworks MQ-9 Reaper, Tamiya A-6E (1/100) and Hasegawa Weapons Kit VI. Decals from the MQ-9 kit. Paint is MM enamels via hairy sticks.
