Title: Fantastic four pogo plane
Post by: ex-navy on June 29, 2017, 04:21:41 PM
Good day
I was reading an older FF comic book. In which they used their pogo plane.  I know lindberg models has an offering in 1/48. But other the wings the shape is wrong. Your thoughts on what to use?

Post an image of the FF pogo and folks may be able to help,
otherwise it's hard to know what you're looking for.

I went looking as I'd never heard of it before, I've found three different ones  ---- all jets, no prop powered ones

The classic  design is about half way down.
It been drawn in both the uniform blue color and silver/white.
Thanks

The classic design's fuselage looks more like that of the Convair XF-92:

There have been/are various 1/72 kits but only one 1/48,
the simple Allyn 'desktop' display model later re-released
by Microscale. Very simple with limited parts, no cockpit
details etc., however the shape is pretty much spot-on.
They are a collectable that comes up occasionally on eBay.

Daft question possibly, but why did the XF-92 have such a long tail pipe ?
