Thanks for that - love a(n original) Corsair!
Nice to see that airshows in the US don't have the aircraft taxiing 1/2 mile away from the crowdline......

I was just about to make the same point. It would have been hell noisy that close but wow!
Great shot of the "proper" Corsair ;D
That F.18 almost looks as though it's VTOL ? ;)

That pic shows just how hefty the F-18 landing gear is too. :o
Is that writing all the way up the inside of the starboard fin? And if it is, what does it say?
In the Skyraider pic is the seated guy in the middle of the shot wearing the baseball cap on the phone?
"WHAT! SPEAK UP I CAN"T HEAR YOU THERE'S AN R3350 RUNNING 6 FOOT FROM ME. NO, FAMILY HAWAIIAN WITH EXTRA PINEAPPLE..."

F-18 undercart still looks fragile compared with the Buccaneer.......and of course he's a philistine; but at least he's paying proper attention to the elderly flying machine and waving at the driver.

Yeah, but the Bucc's gear was forged from solid billets of Infinitium, which was only available in 10 ft cubes.
