F/A-18A Hornet, 57th Wg 65th Aggressor Squadron AW 080010 - Nellis AFB NV - 2007, the Flanker Hornet.
Nothing much, just direct OOB, very minor modification as I just wanted to clear old stash and learn new techniques & etc.
This is a Fujimi 1/72nd scale F/A-18A Hornet fighter and attack aircraft and it will be painted into 65th aggressor squadron aggressor camouflage, which is similar to Su-27 Flanker camouflage by using Gunze 72 & Gunze 323. The 65th Aggressor Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit, it's Inactivated on September 26, 2014.
This should be the model made around 1990s, Desert Storm is the title of this box and it ended at year 1991. The fitting is good, everything is just good but the decals gone. What's best about this kit is the PE parts for rear-view mirrors & HUD, and also sagged tires. And since the decals are expired I will be using the marking of F-15C Eagle, 57th Wg 65th Aggressor Squadron AW 080010 - Nellis AFB NV - 2007 from Hobbyboss kit.

Called it done by today and it's time for a simple base.
Cool.

It's never occurred to me before but those are almost zenrat industries colours. I must have subconsciously absorbed them while looking at far too many pictures of Fullbacks.
That looks really nice, and a good change from the same old same old overall grey scheme.
Chris
