That's the Pete's Hanger F-111B conversion for the Hasegawa FB-111A, perhaps somebody has taken up the masters following his death and re-issued it ?

Looks like a nice set.  From my naval fighters #41 reference, not many choices out there for a totally accurate production version B.  The nose profile and canopy are the big challenges.

I take it the FB-111A had the proper inlets?

Would they be the same inlets required for the 111C? I obtained a Hasegawa F-111C from Kit a little while ago and he mentioned something about the intakes, tried looking at pics to see if I could work out what's wrong and I cannot see it.

F-111 intakes are a minefield.  :banghead:

The original F-111A, the F-111Bs, the F-111Cs and the two F-111Ks all used the 'Triple Plow I' intakes, the ones with the massive side plates to split off the boundary layer. Later on GD developed the 'Triple Plow II' intakes that had longer ducts and more sophisticated boundary layer controls and they didn't have the big side plates, and they were used on the production FB-111s and F-111Gs, plus the F-111Ds, Es and Fs.

Can't remember where I got the drawing from, but it appears quite often on the Net.

Further good info on the subject here :- http://f-111.net/models/inlets/index.htm (http://f-111.net/models/inlets/index.htm)
