Title: Lancing Model Show 14th May (Saturday)
Post by: NARSES2 on March 20, 2016, 07:39:06 AM
Picked up the flyer for this at Southern yesterday and I may well take a trip down there. I can get a train down in an Hour from East Croydon and it's a lovely part of the coastline. One of the guys in the club does some wonderfull Luft 46 models so I shall take the camera.

Any of our southern comrades planning on going ?

Lancing, near Shoreham Airfield? Yes, a lovely part of the UK, recent aircraft crashes notwithstanding.

I used to stay at a hotel there, called the Sussex Pod of all things, that was in between Lancing College and the A27. They has the most superb rooms, all named after flowers IIRC, and the food was divine. My customers in Worthing always wondered why I NEVER objected to staying a few extra days for 'Training', or 'Oil contamination checks' or somesuch.  ;D

I'm surprised Lancing is big enough for a model club, let alone a show of its own though.

I shall bear this one in mind as I have the weekend free. I didn't know there was a show in that area!

Here's the website http://www.lancingmodelshow.org.uk/ (http://www.lancingmodelshow.org.uk/)

Nice part of the country so a couple of hours at the show and then a nice pub by the coast I think  ;D
