Title: WTD: 1/72 Scale Fujimi British Phantom Part
Post by: Gondor on August 04, 2015, 02:38:07 PM
I have been going through the various British Phantom kits I have by Fujimi to make sure that will all the swapping about I have done with them that I have all the parts required to complete each one.

I have found that all but one of them is complete. That singular kit is missing both the instrument panels  :banghead: No idea what happened to them although I am guessing that the carpet monster got them a few years ago.

Has anyone got a spare or two sitting around?

I may have Alastair, I have a few Fujimi F4-K/Ms and I think one has been stripped for parts. I'll check in the morning.

Just use one of your other kits as a template and use either the decals from the kit (yuck), ones from the Modeldecal sets (as they tend to include the instrument panels) or get an Eduard pre-painted zoom set for the F-4 B/N (and cut down on the cockpit painting you dislike  ;D )

I am ok once I start the painting, but I don't like all the fiddly bumps etc. I am going to have to look and see sometime, if my bottle of Maskol is still viable, bought some time in the distant past, so I can mask the cockpit surfaces so that the actual panels on the sides can be painted the black they should be then highlighted to show said bumps and switches or whatever they are.

Thank Howard, but I don't want to take anything from a kit that your going to use the parts in unless your following the route that Thorvic is suggesting.

duly noted Gondor.

I could also help with the instrument panel decals too.

I would like to do one RAF phantom at least from the stash with a much more modern set of instruments hence my offer of the kit parts.

I have the decals from at least one Fujimi F-4K/M for the instrument panels if that's what your after Howard as I usually don't use those.
