Title: North-American Mustsr2?
Post by: Tophe on June 30, 2015, 09:13:35 PM
The US president feeled bad  :-\ :-\ about those British refusing US airplanes, shouting WE MUST BUILD THE TSR2!
Must? Like Must-ang? He asked North American team for help, and so was born the F-151D Mustsr2 (and twin derivative, thanks to North Am expertise in that field). British politicians were happy then, and UK industry built 1,000 copies of Mustsr2 (including 201 Twins):   (with 11 entering USAF service and 2: US Navy)

No, am I dreaming? ;) ;D

That would have made a good F4H/F8U-3 competitor design if the cockpit was shrunk a little and the nose changed...
