It's been a while, but I'm back and looking forward to seeing and showing some cool What Ifs!
I've started my own website/blog called "The Sprue Lagoon". Right now, the only Whif I have is my Ju-87J-2 Float Stuka (http://wp.me/P2SZML-6t).

Very nicely modelled and finished off too.
I'm not sure about the position of the floats relative to the fuselage though. Their centre of bouyancy should be close to the CG of the aircraft and your Stuka has them quite a bit aft of that position. Perhaps if the step was level with the rear of the struts it would look a bit better balanced?
Nice. I have seen something similar in a Japanese Navy guise, and I also considered building such a (con)version, too. Agree with PR19_Kit, though: the spats look a bit wacky, togther with the floats, and from this perspective the arrangement looks a bit strange (the wings hide the rear part of the support construction) - at least to me, too?
Nevertheless, a fine xecution. Like the Italian markings, too!

I like the floaty Stuka, and contrary to some, think the floats are in the right place. The heavily-loaded Stuka's c.g. should be about at the pilot's seat, and your floats seem to be there. I am presuming an additional strut support from the wing just out of "our" sight.
[edit] Oh, I see in the front view that the old spatted struts are the sole support. I would have to say, from a "realistic" point of view, that if you were going to use the one strut support, that it would be positioned further back on the wing (float staying in the same place), OR, add a second, smaller strut near the wing trailing edge (before the moveable surfaces). Actually, the latter would be easy to do, even now (just a suggestion).

I can definitely see why people would think the floats should be attached at a more central position, as for the CG of the floats themselves. However, that's about the only thing I don't like about the Seiran; having the floats stick that far forward just looks odd to me. Thus, I put them where they are.
Now, I definitely agree that there should be some kind of rear support. However, when I built the Float Stuka, it had already been a long process, and I was not sure I wanted to mess with it any more.
I think some styrene sheet cut into a support near the rear would have worked fine, and maybe a bit of wire now would do the trick, too. However, I'm going to just leave it, so that it acts as a milestone on my journey of constant improvement. (Whoa! Zen modelling!)
Since this is all a product of imagination anyway, I think it's best if we all just imagine supports back there. :)
That having been said, I do try to take most engineering concepts into account when whiffing something, so I do find it irksome that there are no rear supports (and have found that for years), so I can see your guys' points.
Still, take it for what it is and let's hope I get the engineering right next time! :ph34r:
Agree a little more support for the aft part of the float, but great job.
I put a rear brace going to the fuselage on my Float Attacker.

lovely Stuka, even if I agree with the need for a rear strut to feel more comfortably stable.
I have made a flat Stuka sometime back, and I would like to show it but I can't understand how to insert an image file in my post? when I click on "insert image" I can't access the file I uploaded ... should it be somewhere on a server with a url? :unsure: anyone can tell me?
I also have a float attacker, inspired by a blue-line drawing I found on the net somewhere; if I manage to learn how to insert pictures I'll show it too :-X

My models are painted monochrome, because I like to underline their shape, independently of historical context;
They are painted in a primary color (red, yellow, blue) because I like them ;-)

So much floaty goodness makes my heart sing with joy! I don't know why, but floats are just one of those awesome things that can make even the best plane look clunky and old, and that's what makes them awesome!
