Title: Gerry Anderson Tank Query
Post by: Cobra on July 31, 2010, 10:49:20 PM
Hey Guys, just had a Thought,What If a 'Super Tank' were built using an at the Time available Tank Model? What Tanks would work for a 'Gerry Anderson' style Super Tank? I'm Talking British,American,Etc. Thought about trying a Project of Creating a 'Super Tank' with some Tanks Available Now that may have been around @ the Time of Shows like 'Thunderbirds','Joe 90', 'Captain Scarlet',Etc. i'm not sure what's Available or if 1/35 would be a Workable scale. What Say You? thanks for looking.Dan

Anything on tracks from Thunderbrids or earlier was built on the basis of a particular remote controlled toy tractor. They are now very collectible and rare as they were expensive and never sold well. You can spot them easily - four big road wheels. The Mole is uses a basically un changed track unit so it's easy to see.
There was a super tank in Joe 90 I think, but it looked nothing like any existing tank.

The tractor in question is the Vickers Vigor bulldozer.

Found one quite a few years ago at the Budge Collection.

Cheers & HTH
