You ever heard of the COW fighter?
It was a DH.4 converted to carry a 37mm cannon which was made at the Coventry Ordnance Works. That's where this 15inch gun barrel is being taken from for delivery to Scotstoun on the Clyde and fitting to a Royal Navy battleship/cruiser. Not impossible that this barrel saw service on HMS Vanguard.
