My main one is enlargement and expansion on my rewrite of WWII using the "Bucharest Alliance" concept I created for my Bubble top Hurricane build. It will be more story than actual model building.

As for models. I'm working on a variation on the Messerschmitt P.1101.
I'm adjusting a 1/72 Huma kit of it. I'm addinga bit of bulk to the fuselage to represent higher fuel carrying capacity. I'll also be adding a bigger canopy. It will be captured by the British or French rather than the Americans.

Way too many ideas and models with too little time for all of them.

In work, I have
     FW-190 Zwilling, Luftwaffe '46
B-49B USAAC Operational Bomber in ETO in 1947
     P-51 Twin Jet
     He-68

Planned
XF2R-1 Dark Shark as operational USMC Korean War fighter
Ka-50 as tiltrotor instead of coaxials
P-80 as USAAC '46 in ETO.
YF-23 for the Movies/Comics GB if it comes along
F4U Corsair for the next Profiles GB
Me-410 for the Navalize GB if it happens
     Piper Enforcer
Mig 1.44 in Finnish camo and markings

I also have a number of WHIFF's that I need to decide on colors and markings.
    SR.53
    CF-105
    Su-47 Berkut
    F-8 Two seat conversion
    Flitzer
    X-29
    F-20
    A-10 NAWS
    F-107
Revell ATB (their What IF B-2)

I also have a bunch of kits that I may make into WHIFF's or real world depending on my mood when I start them.  All are 1/72.

Ed, what are you using for the two-seater Crusader? I have plans for something similar, but I'm undecided on how to add the second seat.

Possibly Maintrack, I think they were the only ones to do a TF8 conversion.  A two seat F8 was offered to the Royal Navy as a Phantom alternative.  They would have been supplied as airframes to be fitted with British engines and avionics with the work contracted to Shorts at Belfast.

On the go:  various Spitfires.

My house is small, so I'll do it in 3D Studio Max instead of doing in plastic......

Current:

Sun Yat-Sen Heavy/Medium/Main-Battle Tank in ROCA colours

Future (the list is long...... hey, one at a time):

"The Good Guys"

(Items starting from the forth will be in no particular chronological order.)

"The Bad Guys"

(For some of these I'm looking for a camouflage scheme that looks like blood stains...... thinking that it might exude an air of brutality?  ;D)

My projects are mainly Sci-Fi but I do have some whiffs in there.

My current project is a Jedi Cruiser from the days of the sith wars 5000 years before the republic. The Dark Horse comics Tales of the Jedi serve as inspiration.

As it is Sci-Fi I havn't posted any pics in the current builds.

Waiting completion.

My 4 engined Heinkel which has been in progress for 4 years
Dynavector Sky Shark which has been in progress for 5 years
Pimped out Bird of Prey
F-16 in 1/48th which isn't finished from the first profiles build

As for planning any new builds. I want to build the new GW Shadowsword but until In finish my Jedi Cruiser that is a no go.

This could get long. All are 1/72 unless stated otherwise. A lot of these projects are directly influenced by the art or ideas shared by the members here on whatifmodelers and the appropriate parties may be able to identify what they influenced.

Current builds:

Vampire/Meteor Mistel
Eurocopter Tiger cockpit/NH 90 fuselage kit-bash --> EuroHind

Australian Hawk 128
Bahamas MiG-29A
Barbados F-16A
Swifts/Strizhi MiG-1.44
Russian Knights Su-47 Berkut

(Far away) planned projects that I need to get the kits for:

JASDF RF-101C
A couple RAF/RN Skyrays
A couple of Lightnings, Fishbeds,... for Gekko's Burkina Faso story
F-8 Crusaders and Fishbeds/Frogfoots for a French/West African story I've got a rough outline for

Boeing XC-X ( Lockheed Galaxy competitor)

Ooof...  This is a painful list, since I can't remember what all my non-finished builds are...

In Progress:

Stuff I needed those TOWs and Hellfires for (about four Anigrand kits collected over the years)
XP-81 in some color scheme (started building, had no plans for)
XP-75 in some color scheme (see above)
XC-142 in USN colors
YF-17 in some nation's colors
Tons o' ships (waaay too many to count...  ok, so it's about 26 in various stages of building)
AH-56 modernized to the 80's (cannibalizing a lot of attack helos for bits)
Bunch o' space shuttles/fighters/stations (started a lot of shuttles and space fighters already)
A-9B (naval variant, almost done, needs armaments and decals)
2 x ANG F-14's (built up, need painting)
F-4S (needs those inlets I put a plea out for; will be USNR VF-209)
Shinmeiwa PS-1 Flying boat (was going to be USCG)
Seamaster (USCG)
Whispercraft from the 6th Day (USCG variant; was USN, but was in a USCG kinda mood one day and repainted it white overall)
F-4E (171st FS)
A butt-load of airliners done up in military roles (tankers, AWACS, transports)
B-52G (US Navy, refit of an ancient model of mine)
A few odd Amodel kits (Global Express, Christen Eagle, etc, in military roles)
The odd RPV (not calling them UAV's)
PZL 230 Skorpian that arrived yesterday from evil-Bay
Some other kits I know I'm forgetting, yet am too lazy to walk to the bench and stare at it

Planned:
Whatever strikes my fancy as I look at the stash.  Have vague general ideas, but nothing concrete (save some YF-23's in 171st and 87th FS markings, and two YF-12's in markings for Kincheloe AFB... OH, and about half a dozen XR-7's and two SR-75's in companion Recce markings to the FS from Kincheloe)
F-108 in either the Kincheloe FS markings, 87th FS markings, or 171st FS markings
Mig-31K Swing Wing (been planning this one since I first joined Whif)
Another swingwing F-15N (this time an F/A-15N+ variant)
More ships (have more in the stash than I really should; have some Ruskies and other Sprucan/Tico mods I need to do)
Space Station Freedom (kitbashed Revell ISS and Revell SpOC's (Space Operations Center) with other bits for the dual keel design)
Excelsior class Heavy Space Shuttle (based on a drawing I did a long time ago for a larger shuttle, based on the 1/100 Tamiya shuttle scale-o-ramaed into a 1/144 design; name is an homage to the old FASA trek names for the Movie Enterprise (Enterprise class Heavy Cruiser) and the subsequent replacement for her, the Excelsior class Battleship, seeing as how the Space Shuttles could technically be called Enterprise Class Space Shuttles)
More FRoCA, Conch Republic, Quebec, Louisiana, Henristan, NATO, Ceylon, ASSR, Durka-Durka-stan, and Cuban Republic models
Models for the Concordant Island of Kokomo (Invented another nation, nowhere near as inviting as the Beach Boys would lead you to believe)

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of them, but that's what my sleep deprived brain can come up with right now.

Post by: sequoiaranger on September 10, 2009, 09:11:43 AM
I generally concentrate on only one project at a time, and take a month off in between projects to refresh. So currently, after finishing my Globrey Blordiator, I am "refreshing".

I have an extensive "pipeline" of 1/72 projects, a 1/144 project, some HO, and a couple of ships waiting. Most have sketches and short write-ups of possible parts sources, etc. on a 3X5 card in a file. Some of these are in my Gallery here with an illustration. These include:

Douglas "Decimator"--"Early Skyraider" 3-place Midway commemorative torpedo bomber done up in "Midway" livery but at Marianas, as flown by Bert Earnest, a Midway survivor. Most likely my next build because it will be very simple, in marked contrast to my beloved, but very complicated Globrey Blordiator.

Kyushu "Nibai" (Twin)-- Shinden Zwilling melded to an N9M flying wing.

Curtiss "Navahawk"--"Navajo" air contingent flying twin-engined P-40 (tweaked real aircraft).

Heinkel He-211---4-engined He-111--a "Phoenix" re-build to enlarge (replace, actually) the present fuselage using the old Lindberg 1/64th-scale He-111 and other components.

D4Y8 Suisei-Kai---an enlarged "Judy" using Ryusei, Nanzan, and Suisei parts (as well as an old Northrop N3M).

Caproni "Bandini"--Italian triple-row reciprocating engine torpedo plane made from Caproni Campini jet (someone else here beat me to it, but kept the jet part--mine will have rear turret instead).

1/700 angled-deck "Yorktown"-type carrier for WW II ("USS Bon Homme Richard" from "Furashita's Fleet")

1/144 Boeing 314 flying-boat made into a luxury executive transport for my brother in Montana--the "Kalispell Klipper"

"He-113D"---a He-100 derivative using the Nanzan and He-280 wings, desert camo.

"Hawker Henley"--extrapolated British carrier dive-bomber adding on Tempest/Sea Fury components and a rear-defense turret.

"Doshaburi" (Coudburst)--1/72 Japanese heavy manned kamikaze rocket craft make from 1/48 V-1 and Okha.

"Highball" DeHavilland Mosquito--Carrier-borne, Spiteful 5-bladed props and cowlings, bulged bottom and "Highball" ordnance for "Oxtail" missions against heavy Japanese warships.

Tank Ta-152T--long-wingspan carrier torpedo bomber, using enlarged 1/65 Nichimo Fw-190 as base, adding on uber-FW/Tank components and two-place cockpit.

Me-209T--Carrier fighter--Bf-109H long-wingspan, Me-209 tall tail, possibly Japanese Ki-100 radial nose.

C6Y1 "Yamagumo"-- single-place "Judy" recon--first to fly over Pearl Harbor.

Brewster "Bison"--if MPM comes out with their Brewster Buccaneer as promised, I will "Phoenix-build" my present Bison to be more proportional.

1/1200 "Yokozuna"--stretched "Yamato" from "Furashita's Fleet".

HO (1/87) Jaguar 3.4 sedan (RW)--one in a long series of models for my brother of cars that he has owned.

There are more, including some "Real World" aircraft---a "Fritz-X" Dornier Do-217K/M, an F4F from the USS Enterprise, and a Douglas Dauntless, and a Kawasaki Ki-100 using my master molds from a long-defunct "cottage" kit company (Model-Aire International).

Whew! I rest.

Right now in some form of construction I've got:

1/100 F-15 intended for the 318th AGS in "Smurf" camo (ghost gray/air superiority blue)
1/72 Revell MiG-31 "Strikehound"
1/72 S-30 Soviet test bird (no, y'all will just have to wait to find out what it is, unless you can actually find it in the "search" function)
Revell Sea Master intended for USCG service
1/48 J-14
couple of 1/48 V-22s in Israeli specops use

I wont list my ideas as there wouldn't be enough space here to itemize & list them out, but something I've wanted to do for a year now is a couple of models for a buddy of mine, an A-10 (thats his baby) & an A-4 ('cuz they're both Scooters lol).

Cause I don't know I guess that I didn't want to clutter up a Whif board with Sc-Fi models. Unfortunately it is all I am building at the moment.

But I supose it wouldn't hurt.

I'll post some pics this weekend.

Must admit it's a genre I admire and I really do like the retro "Dan Dare" type stuff.

I was looking at the ad for the Pegasus models Alien Flying Saucer complete with Alpha Centurai pilot the other day. I think there's 2 in the box so one landed and one flying - might give it a go  ;D

This is just what's actually in-build or stalled at the moment. I did have an "ideas" thread of my own, but it was getting so long it was scaring me.....

1/72nd Marder fire-support vehicle (120mm mortar + 27mm cannon) in British service - underway

1/72nd Avro Atom light fighter (Gnat w/MiG-21 wings) for Patchwork World - underway

1/72nd Westland Pteradon tandem-wing fighter (two F-5Es siamesed together) for PW - stalled (fell out of love with the wing choice: looking at alternatives)

Really looking forward to the F-12s and F-108s - you must have a fondness for the old ADC!!

More than I'll ever build & I've forgotten more than that.

Sukhoi T-4MS late design (hopefully the next project) using the Anigrand 1/144 kit
English Electric P.12 (Canberra interceptor variant)
Avro 721
BAe P.1216
Boeing SST Air Force One
USAF Tornado, ADV with IDS radome.  Probably build this for the Let it Snow GB that nev mentioned, if it gets the go-ahead.
Hawker Siddley P.1141
Hawker P.1093
Solid nose VG Lightning
Real World Gloster Meteor T.71/2, Martin Baker test bed
Hunter P.1083/P.1109 combo, probably in an RAE (not Rasberry Ripple) scheme
Saro SR.177, probably in air defence greys
Conversion of Elefant Faun into a wheeled SPG or SPAAG, using the Czech Dana as inspiration
A-7 Corsair, probably RAF Desert Pink
HS Dominie AEW variant
Piasecki VZ-8 Airgeep SAS Pink Panther
Westland Chinook with twin Gnome powerplant
Fairey Rotodyne Water Bomber

As it is Sci-Fi I havn't posted any pics in the current builds.

Why not!?

Cause I don't know I guess that I didn't want to clutter up a Whif board with Sc-Fi models. Unfortunately it is all I am building at the moment.

But I supose it wouldn't hurt.

I'll post some pics this weekend.

Sci-fi rawks!!!!  Which reminds me...

I've got an old Polar Lights 1/350 Star Trek Enterprise-class Heavy Cruiser ongoing (had some custom decals for her on order, but the order got cancelled... gotta follow up on that), as well as an Alliance 1/1000 Star Trek Enterprise class Heavy Cruiser (also had decals on order from same place...  now that I'm vacation, I'll follow this up...)

And as for my F-12's and my F-108, I love ANG units in the cold war, but not ADC grey (too shiny).  The F-108 will be in low-vis colors similar to my Glamorous Glennis III I did a few years ago.  Thinking of doing similar colors on the F-12's.  Thanks for reminding me about the F-12's.  I've got one in progress, and one in the stash.

Imperial Roman Air Force TSR.2 version
Chinese Tornado (apparantly the Commies were interested?)
A-20 (1/48th) REAL WORLD, and probably RAAF...possibly A28-28....an A-20C delivered as an attrition replacement, and I'll "tweak it" to get some nose-art on it....for the Quarter Scale Group display of WW2 Bombers.
I'll start this after the Nationals.

1) Get married (Sometimes it feels like a what if based on the amount of conjectural planning!!)

More seriously (All 1/700 unless noted):

US Battleship Modernization program (Iowa - Hybrid BB/CV, South Dakota - Assault Ship, and North Carolina classes - Unsure; one of each)
UK Battleship Modernization program (KG5 - Assault Ship, Hood - BB/CV, Rodney - All firepower, all the time)
US Modern FRAM (OHP Update with VLS, Flight Deck Spruance, Big Hanger Spruance, Big Gun Spruance; Last one may be VGAS instead)
Life and Times of HMS Tiger (Three versions, all in various fits from the last 60's, through 2000.)
Japan re-arms (Modernized Shinano - Flight deck, Hyuga - Assaault Ship, Mogami - ASW Helo Carrier, and I-400 - Skyhawk launching sneaky mother)
Three little PiGGs (My three little Hovercraft, I want to finally finish them but 1/700 scale Hellfires are SMALL!)  ;)
Los Tres Muertes (Refit of three older US battleships into South American Assault Ships)
USFS Curtis LeMay the first Airborne Aircraft Carrier (Made from the Old Revell Advanced Tech Bomber and scaled to 1/700)

in 1/144:
Lots.  Seriously, like 20 or so little planes that I can't even remember properly.  I know there were some fun kitbashes inspired by Eddie.

And in 1/72...

AH-56H Cheyenne (Updated with a lot of Apache bits and weaponry)

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Current project on the slab, is a lightweight, Turbo prop multi role aircraft for the U.S Marines. The aircraft will be of composite construction thus making it lightweight and strong. Able to carry a varied array of current U.S ordnance, and have a gun fitted capable of knocking out armoured vehicles and armoured helicopters and also have an interchangeable pack to fit into either wing root, so as to carry different mission specific guns, cameras or targeting sensors. The aircraft will be a single seater and very compact in size.
The aircraft will be used for close air support, Counter Insurgency and Helicopter escort.
This aircraft will be offered to the newly reformed Iraqi air force, Columbia, Honduras, South Africa and the U.K.
The U.S airforce has ordered seven of these aircraft to evaluate its capability in conflicts in Afghanistan, and on the strength of this evaluation the British Army and Air force will order  15 of the aircraft.
When it is finished, all will be revealed  ;D

Attempting, and have been for the last 3-6 years, to complete the following:

Hasegawa 1/72 F-18A as a RCAF CF-18A (dropping the CF-188 designation), squadron TBD;

Hasegawa 1/72 F-18B as a RCAF CF-18B, squadron TBD;

Hasegawa 1/72 F-14A as a RCN CF-14A, VF-870 Sqn;

Hasegawa 1/72 F-16A as a British Columbia ANG CF-16A, 111 Sqn (based on the 111 Sqn of WWII, if I can get the IPMS Canada P-40 decal sheet for the nose totem pole marking); and

Hasegawa 1/72 A-37B as a Yukon Territory ANG CA-37B, squadron TBD.

All this to go with a what if North Korea, China (PRC) and rogue USSR forces attacking Alaska, with operations entering Canadian soil (Yukon).

What year will they be completed? Who knows. Been well over 23+ years since I did any serious modelling. Life, marriage, work, kids, cut into pleasure. Now that I'm no longer married, and have one kid left at home, maybe there is more time.

Found some more kits under the bed.

1/72 E-2 Hawkeye- could use the radome on the P-3
1/72 Novo Canberra PR7
1/72 Airfix Canberra RB-57
1/72 SR-71 Blackbird

Concept is to create a scenic model railway layout that passes through an airbase, so I can display my 1/72 models off on the flight line/hardstand or hanger area. As the single room I rent out in the Greenford area, isn't big enough. So if anyone has a double room or studio flat for rent at a reasonable price in the London area of the UK, please let me know by sending an email to 63curzonsteet.mjmapp.com

Getting back to the subject matter, my wish list is to have a scaled model of all the current aircraft flown by the UK armed forces from 1986.

>Concept is to create a scenic model railway layout that passes through an airbase, so I can display my 1/72 models off on the flight line/hardstand or hanger area.<

At least in America, the only railroad scale that comes close is "S" gauge (1/64th) from "American Flyer", a now very rare type. "O" gauge railroads and 1/48 are perfectly compatible with each other. "HO" scale, at least in America, is 1/87 scale, and in a pinch some 1/96 or 1/100 aircraft can do.

I have noticed that Airfix makes military buildings and figures for an "HO/OO" scale listed it at 1/76. I am unfamiliar with train scales in the UK (or anywhere outside of the USA, for that matter). Is "OO" scale a viable train scale in your neck of the woods?---is that what you are proposing? If so----  :drink:

P.S. I suppose you'll have a RR crossing going across the runway where planes will have to wait to take off, yes?
Title: Re: What is your current PROJECTS/CONCEPTS/IDEAS WhishList?
Post by: Mossie on September 29, 2009, 09:11:00 AM
OO Gauge is the most popular in the UK for model railways, it emerged when they were marketed to the masses with limited space.  It managed to gain a foothold over HO here, although that scale is most popular in most other countries.  Airfix & several other companies in the UK produced models in this scale to take advantage of the scenery & such available & a few garage manufacturers carry it on.  They're close enough to 1/72 for a diorama, although you sometimes here the JMN's moan about it.

So  :drink:  !!!
Title: Re: What is your current PROJECTS/CONCEPTS/IDEAS WhishList?

UK OO gauge uses the 4mm to one foot or 1:76.2. The Europeans prefer the 1:87 HO. Although the purists use something known as EM gauge based on the 4mm scale but I don't know what the ratio is.
If anyone has any info a railway track passing through an airbase or has built a layout on this theme, I'd like to see some photos.

I know of two locally that have train lines that pass very nearby.  RAF Finningley was in use until 1996, RAF Leconfield passed over to the Army in 1976, although 202 Sqn 'E' Flight has a pair of Sea Kings there.  The train lines don't actually pass through the stations.

indeed so.

also i don't know if it is still there but in the 1980's i recall the base had a siding from the mainline
to recieve tanks of aviation fuel (amongst other things).

further, the GWML runs past the back of RAF west drayton (as was) and the railway from wolverhampton
to shrewsbury passes RAF cosford.

All In 1/72nd scale

F-84/F-86/F-100 - Build these as early aggressors for the Navy's Top Gun Program. Would be easy for the Navy to get the F-86's and maybe the F-100's but maybe not so much the F-84's. Besides if they can use them as bad guys on the TV show Airwolf then it only makes sense to give it a try.

F-16A/B/C/D - Build these in squadron markings that don't exsist. F-16s for the 55th FIS based at Ouffitt Air Force base in Bellevue Nebraska. Green/Yellow checkered tail band and an OF tail code. Got to keep SAC safe you know. The 155th FIS based in Lincoln Nebraska Red/white checkered tail band Tail Code LN and Nebraska painted at the base of the Tail Fin.

F-4U/F-8F/F-6F/F-7F/A-1 Skyraider for the RCN during the 1950's I know others have done most of these already

Same as above but for South Vietnam with out the A-1 Skyraider.

F-82 in SEA markings and larger load out.

F-2H2/3 Banshees in SEA camo for Vietnam

AH-56H Cheyenne (Updated with a lot of Apache bits and weaponry)

You too, eh!  I was doing mine up as an AH-56E Basilisk USMC gunship, with a new rotor, new tail rotors based on the Apache's (cut down Apache rotor as the pusher), additional Apache engines (to make it a three engined beast), three pylons per wing, nose sensors, new canopy (hate that greenhouse), and new belly gun.

I also began work on my SH-61B, taking parts from an Italeri SH-60B that was missing some parts.  Will get new rotor, new tail rotor, the MAD, torp pylons, nose sensors, new engine inlets, belly radar, and the sonobouy dispenser.

On my ever growing wishlist would include the Airfix Nimrod as I already have a P-3 and the Atlantic Br1150.
I saw a picture of a Ford Capri MKIII hearse once. Now I'm looking for a suitable donar in 1/24 scale.
1/72 scale castle kit.

Academy will likely never release the RB-29H in 1/72.   That's the B-29 that was converted to extra long wings with twin Allison HaT-65K* Turboprops and used for high altitude research and surveillance.   At least in my mind it was.

Great! Now I've got an image stuck in my head of a B-29 with two monsterous "humpbacked" turboprops and a RB-47H nose! You'll be hearing from my psychiatrist and bank manager!  ;D

Seriously though, great idea! Please build it!

Beyond what I mentioned earlier, I've got Finnish and Argentinian Harriers in the works and plans for alternate upgrades for various 1st generation Harriers that incorporate much of what was done on the AV-8C as well as a few other upgrades.  I figure at least some will be in RAuxAF markings while others will belong to new users of refurbished (much as AV-8As were refurbished into AV-8Cs) units (RAAF, RAN, et al.).

Northrop N-156 can be done from a F-5

Northrop Fang is under viability study

Nose intake Draken is even easier

When and if, I have some more "free" time there are few projects I'd like to do...

To Finish
1/48 RCN A-4F Skyhawk (w/ all the modernization goodies)
1/48 Irish Air Corps Mirage IIIE (pre-modernization)
1/48 Irish Air Corps Mirage IIIE (post-modernization)

In my imagination
1/48 Texas Navy A-4M (modernized)
1/48 Texas Navy F-14D (modernized)
1/48 Texas Navy A-7F (modernized)
1/48 Texas Air Corps OV-10D+ (modernized)
1/48 USAF AF-61K Black Widow (heavily modified Vietnam-era COIN/gunship)
1/350 Alaska-class CB (post-modernization hybrid CB/CSGN)
1/350 Montana-class BB (post-modernization hybrid BBG/CVN)

 Bryan

Actually, the proposed naval N-156T variant was rejected for too high a landing speed.  Northrop's final proposed derivative was the N-285B with larger, and slightly more swept wings with leading edge slats and full-span flaps as well as a raised second seat for better instructor visibility on carrier approach.  As to the Draken, I still want to do one with Fieri inlets, an engine upgrade, and various other improvements.

I know it's an old one, and been done before, but I fancy a twin Starfighter, done with the second fuselage as a recon pod with a load of camera gear in place of the second cockpit...don't know about the colours yet though...maybe Vietnam era?...any suggestions...

How about German Marine colors, dark grey uppers and light grey lowers?

And a thumping great anti-ship missile under the centre-section?

Hmmm...
Might have to get a 104 kit and make it an anti ship missile.

Think I suggested elsewhere making the 1/144th Starfighter into a missile to hang under a 1/72nd or 1/48th carrier.

Nice Greg, see my comments there.

I think just converting the 72nd scale version would work, much like the Russian missiles look like full size Migs.

Now, what markings would look good on this and which delivery vehicle?  Probably a Buff could carry 1 or 2 but what else in the US inventory?

For an air-dropped one, you'd probably want to modify the tail arrangement. A vertical fin can be folded or even accomodated in a modified bomb bay, but a T-tail makes it much trickier. I fancied an X-tail with two cut-down F-104 dorsal fins at 45 deg. and two of the ventral strakes mirroring them below.

I had no idea that a zwillinged F-104 can be asthetically acceptable...... excellent imaginations!

That second fuselage can accommdate a LOROP camera probably without resorting to the over-elongated nose as on ROCAF RF-104Gs  ;D......
