Title: Dreaming inspiration
Post by: Fulcrum on July 18, 2009, 11:20:32 PM
This afternoon, while I was taking a nap that I usually take before work, I seen something that was a whiffable possibility... a grey-coloured CAF Su-27 Flanker on final approach before landing with 2 Iris-T Air-to-Air missiles on it's wingtips.

It was odd as I usually care more about Fulcrums than Flankers . And the missiles happened as the day before, I was studing photos from the magazine Combat Aircraft surprised that the Norwiegan Air Force has modified their F-16s to carry this new missile :o.

I woke up & reasoned that it was a good idea as the Su-27 is ideal for Canadian Air Force as it has long range that could also be countinued with the help of a Il-78 tanker. A good force of 80-100 Flankers with several Il-78s could be ideal for air defense missions over the Arctic landmass in support of NORAD & maintaining Canadian sovreignity.

I heard on the forum that someone was planning a sequel to the Mikoyan in Canada story, just wondering what became of that .
(also hoping to see if possible Canadian Su-17s & Su-24s  ;D)

Sounds like a que for a number of models and profiles.
IIRC there was a good profile of a Cannuk -27 a few years ago in a colourful scheme here.
