This was started as something else Blenheim-wise but I'd forgotten what it was! I was toying with a radar equipped nightfighter on Malta but it seemed to early and when a mate mentioned Blenheim intruders operating from Malta (prefiguring 23 sqn's Mosquito operations some 2 years hence) it just seemed like a good idea.
Out with the turret (the gun was useless and it added weight), engines replaced by resin ones and some sand filters. Apart from that, pretty much OOB.
Incidentally, there were at least 3 Blenheims that had their turrets removed, faired over and used on operations.
Makes sense - the original Bristol "executive aircraft" prototype lost much of it's performance when military equipment was added: dumping the turret reverses some of that and reduces drag for a bonus.
Nice model!
Yes, very nice. She does look faster w/o that bulky turret. The camo looks great as well.
 Spot on. Single or 2-seat? And if the latter, would extra windows be in order for the observer/nav? ;D ;D
I like this one as it's a very subtle What-If that most will probably miss if they weren't paying attention. Nice work there Wooksta.
