Hannants have the new BAe HERTI UAV in
http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=UNI48004
That just might interest Brian since it has spats 8^)
Hmm the hannants info says 48th scale, yet the box artwork says 72nd.............
Wonder how many TSRjoe has on order LOL
Looks just like the cheapo radio controlled planes I used to sell, the sort that get blown away by a strong breeze.......!!
So, what does it actually do then? Of says general purpose, but what does that cover exactly?

Says it's based on a powered glider designed in Poland. It also says one was deployed to Afghanistan under Project Morrigan (love that name!), but the results are Top Secret. There are apparently plans to develop an armed version called the Fury. It seems to me to just be an attempt to lure customers away from the Predator series.
Spats on a UAV? That's unnatural!

I also note it's a "Hannants exclusive" ? Mind you it's a cute little thing, just needs a big smilley face on the front. Could go with Mike Wren's West Mids Police stuff ;D
Lonewulf Models have been Unicrafts main distributor until now. I've noticed that Hannants are down on the Unicraft site now as the UK supplier, with Lonewulf as the European supplier. Hannants have stocked Unicraft kits in the past, so I guess some kind of deal has been negotiated to nudge Lonewulf out of the way.
Or maybe Adrian's move to France is on again ?
Made me laugh when the first, uncowled version of HERTI came out: they were claiming that it had a "specially developed engine", but sticking out of the sides of it are two very distinctive BMW motorcycle engine rocker covers..... ;D
The real bad boy will be the Mantis: http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=4895.msg38780

Its a rather large UAV, when compared to a R/C planes. I believe it can, or will, fire missiles. Until then, it can spy on the enemy  The MANTIS is cooler though
