A lot of the family photos we have from when I was a kid are in 35mm slide form. Today I bought a scanner that can scan slides and negatives, so I was playing around and found this old shot. It was taken at JFK in May 1978, on our first trip to the US. We were in the termonal waiting to fly back to LHR on a Pan Am 747, though I couldnt say if it was this particular one or not. Out of morbid curiosity I checked to see if this was the PAA103 aircraft, but it wasnt. 103 was N739PA, this one is 734PA.

Lovely pic. I love these old shots, with the scratches & slightly washed out look of old film.
Hmm, you've got me thinking of a thread I should start about defunct airlines.....
Nice one, Nick ! Airliners were so cool back then......
