Title: Fw Super Lorin
Post by: dy031101 on February 11, 2008, 07:14:13 AM
This one looks very similar to Ta-183...... albeit without the T-tail and with two ramjet engines.  Looks like a hotrod to me.

One question though- since the ramjets have their own intakes (as they're mounted in pods) and the aux. engine in the tail is a rocket motor, what does the nose intake feed air to?

Wow!  I'm stumped.  The side view seems to indicate that the nose intake leads to something which exits out the bottom of the aircraft.  Maybe it was another form of supplemental propulsion?

Three jets & a rocket.  I bet it's got just enough gas for a really fast trip around the pattern.

For the same reason, I actually have a hard time accepting that the aircraft was to have both the auxiliary jet AND a rocket motor.
