Now, that's well done and quite plausible.  Has anyone invited him over here?

Ah, remember the good old days when whifs caused controversy, and folk could talk about the Falklands ?

:P

Sure is a nice looking bird, great job on the finish !

Eddie,

The silver Zero is excellent, a very nice job on that model.

What bothers me about the thread is when JackMan posted a link to a picture of MY ''Luftwaffe Zero'' and is taking credit for it.

I wonder how often that happens to other modellers? I know of at least one on-line contest where somebody entered a model that was not built by the entrant and the actual builder of the model was not even aware of it.

I didn't read it that way - to me he simply referred to your superb ("infamous" :D ) Luftwaffe Zero.  The only problem (maybe implied ownership) was by one of the next posters (Ron) who seemed to imply that JackMan did it - unfortunately he doesn't seem to have been corrected.  Maybe it would have been better if JackMan stated clearly upfront that the Luftwaffe Zero wasn't his own work, but never-the-less I didn't read it that he was claiming your work.  My 2 cents (or what ever the conversion rate is now  ) worth.

Maybe Jackman did not intend to take credit for my work but that is exactly what happened anyway. But in a hundred years from now who is gonna care one way or the other? For some reason that Zero I built has created a lot of ill will...much more than any other what-if I have made. I never intended to produce an infamous model. :o

Jackman has now put up an explanation. He didn't realise what had happened till I pointed it out to him. I think he's a bit embarrassed about it!

Yikes, Nick!

After I made that post I had completely forgotten about it & never took a look at it again. Hence I didn't realise that people thought it was mine. Please forward my apologies to the gentleman who created that masterpiece. Will set the record straight right away.

warm regards
Jega aka Jackman
