Title: Csh-2 Rooivalk Kit
Post by: Maverick on March 10, 2007, 01:39:55 PM
Hi All,

Can't remember who was asking about a kit of the Rooivalk, but here's a review of one over at SMAKR

Quite a cool site in general, I've posted a bit of stuff, review-wise over there.

Regards,

Mav

John,

What scale?  I've got plans to do an Australian one as an alternate AIR87 bird.

If you're interested in a 1/72 resin kit you can see it here:

And you can order it/get info from the creator here:

Hope this helps!

Yes, there have actually been two production runs on that kit. The first one had a solid-brick fuselage casting that weighed a ton, the second run was hollow cast and significantly lighter.

The main dynamic components are best replaced with plastic parts from the Italeri Super Puma/Cougar kits, otherwise the rotor blades can be expected to go droopy over time.
