Great Camo scheme!!!
I like the warload
Rafa
What a sleek looking little minx ! Nice !
Really nice build, Scooterdude, much cleaner than mine. So fancy doing a single-seater next, and I'll do the two-seater ?? ;)
Ian
The back-story is easy....
it's prettier than the Typhoon!
nice one
I did a two-seater in Luftwaffe colours a few years back using the original Italeri release.
Anyone remember it?
It was all white with Eastern Front markings. :P
Silly (very naughty word)....I built a Typhoon!!! :dum: :dum: :dum:
Cool!
Regards,
Greg

Um well, I do have the single seater almost done, but you have to wait a few more days. Promise, it'll be worth the wait.
Should have gone wrap around!!!
Other than that nice job. :P
Makes the bird appear so different, gives it a completley new look, good stuff Scooter!
Excellent Scooterman! She looks stunning in that Luft camo and markings!
Brian da Basher
Nice build Scooterman, although I still think the Rafale looks a bit "Tubby"
Chris
I like the lines of this jet. I also enjoy your use of the colors in the paint scheme. Good looking aircraft! B)
Eddie
A-WE-SOME !!![/size] :o
Didn't you changed the nosecone to a more pointed, sleeker one ? It looks like a Mirage 2000's one... I'm curious ! ;)
I like this model very much. Congrats !
Very nice, you've taken a very sexy aircraft and dressed her up in just the right outfit! :)

Bl**dy tease ! ;)
Ian
Sweet! . I did 2 of these in IJN WWII colors (green and white) and had another one the bench to do like yours but you beat me to it.
Now I have to come up w/ something different.
Very nice! Seeing those weapons on the Rafale, I can't wait for their 1/72 counterparts to come out (come on Revell, release the new tool single seat Typhoon in 1/72 already!). Ah needs me some IRIS-T's!

Nothing done to the radome. Real Rafales seem to have the area behind the radome painted in the same color as the 'dome so I think by painting it black it makes it look different.
And thanks for all the comments fellas. Other than the intake that fit like poo-poo (with an english accent), this is a dream kit.
The only way I could display something this confidently sleek and flawless would be to spend as many hours as building it, afterwards, using Photoshop, etc. to clean it up. I'm impressed.
Great job. Looking forward to the single-seater now, too, ya big tease! :)
Today the news are that Morocco has ordered 18 Rafales. It´s quite insignificant while we have 87 Typhoons, 60 legacy Hornets (MLU), and 20 or so Harrier +, but some of our politicians (a bunch of assholes), have said that they are "bad planes", because french aircraft are in general bad aircraft. They sustain this claim in the fact that Breguet XIXs didn´t perform well in our civil war (back in 1937). Well, it´s time to request a MOU for Raptors, maybe 150 or so are enough  .
OK, we are LUCKY that president Zapatero didn´t scrap the combat capability of the EdA, and just leave the transport aircraft for humanitarian aid deliveries.
You can whiff, this could be the only time you can see a real Rafale vs Typhoon engagement.
Hope they are downgraded...

What does spanish politicians smoked this morning ?
Raptor is crap, because we all know that the Seversky P-35 (first modern US fighter) was crap, too... :dum:
Never heard of Maroccan Rafales...
if the info come from La Tribune newspaper, be sure it's false  According to this paper, France already sold Rafales to Lybia, Saudi Arabia and... Marocco in the past

Thanks for this brilliant explanation ;) I understand better now
Concerning Rafale VS Typhoon, the Typhoon is a better A2A platform (more power, less compromises) , but lack A2G weapons.
So it would be 50-50...I said it before and I say it again, these two are not competitors, they complement each other.
Rafale is more versatile, Typhoon is better in the A2A role.
The moroccan deal comes in this month´s issue of AVION REVUE international, spenish edition. The complete article is about Morocco and Algerie buying this jet.
And YES, I´m still gessing what our politicians smoke, or drink, or just if they got hit in the head when they were kids...
This fellas say their main concern is 50 surplus T72 MBTs sold by bielorrusia some years ago, these are real threat because a tank can invade physical territory, while a fighter jet cannot do so. Then, we reinforce our cavalry regiments in ceuta and Melilla, and we are saved.
Well, let´s pay attention to what´s attached to that Rafales: Scalp, micas, etc. Perhaps a point to think about.
Top notch model. Five stars

Well, listening to Italian sources, the Rafale will be deal with the Typhoon there too, because it is said that Libya want the Rafale too!!
The reality is that there are some negociations between France and both Morocco and Libya... But there are negociations with India and probably Qatar too, and that didn't mean that the Rafale is alreday sold!!
The fact is that most of the potential customers will wait until French elections in May before buying the plane. And add to that the fact that some of those potential customers just HATE reading secret news in newspaper (I'm thinking about Saudi, Libya etc...) and you'll understand why I want to burn the entire "La Tribune" staff on a public place sometimes!
But back to the German Rafale, I had a thought some times ago (in fact when I was working on Glanini's WWIII and when I replied to all those topic talking about European Carrier Fleet in Alternate History) about a Marineflieger Rafale M!!!
Indeed, as far as I know, the German Typhoon are planed to replace only the Luftwaffe F-4 and Fulcrum for the moment, and later part of the Tornado IDS.
But there is no order for Typhoon for the German Navy!!
So why not having them buying Rafale M in order to replace their anti-ship Tornado!! They will be able to operate from French and US carrier, and that could be cool!!
If I can find Marineflieger decals, I'll do a German navy Rafale N (a navalised Rafale B)!!
Whatever, I just very enjoy what all you people are doing with the Rafale!!
German Rafale, Rafale in desert scheme etc etc... You all have to work for the Armée de l'Air in order to change this boring grey scheme all the Rafale have! :ar:
