In Sheridan's design, several gun posibilities were evaluated:
M41 90 mm (the gun of M-48) with light tube
Low pressure 90 mm
Low pressure 105 mm
Low pressure 152 mm (definitive)
But 152 mm had a very heavy recoil that did damage systems and crew when fired.
So, I propose the 90 mm low pressure gun as in Vietnam the probability to engage a tank: T-34, T-54/55, etc... was very low.
IIRC the 90 mm low pressure tube was able to fire HEAD rounds anyway.
As you say, carlos: FIVE STARS!!!!

Cool baby, cool.
Very cool ! One way to get the "shine" down on armor is to use powdered rosin or talc powder...rosin is nice, because it is brown/black anyway...you have to colour the talc. Of course, your model is of a production vehicle, and hasn't seen much wear and tear yet.
All it needs is a decent muzzle brake to finish it off.
Not being real armor savvy, I like seeing the pre-painted version so I can tell what modificationss you made. I think it looks great.
Great stuff, ysi! She looks ready to rumble! You armor guys never cease to amaze me.

QuoteThey did install a 76mm gun in a test vehicle.
Yes, the M-41's gun

Yes it is sligtly wearthered, but it is not evident in pics. I did it in final varnishing, by adding some tears of grey paint to the varnish.
Thanks to all of you for your support answering my post
Hehehe, it will flip over when firing gun!
