Awww, you mean he won't simply "beam" presents to everyone?

Love that Santa-craft!  Is there a bit of the Star Trek "Scorpion" model in there?

Yes, it's the oft cursed Polar Lights Scorpion kit used as the base. While my original intent was to use the warp engines from the 1/1000 PL Enterprise, now that PL is no more I'm in hoard mode on those. Scorpions, on the other hand, are plentiful and cheap...

I would never, ever, stoop to accusing anyone here of stealing an idea of mine, but I have to mention this.  I was looking at the pictures of Alvis' "Christmas Goose" when I remembered something.

I wrote a series of military scifi stories when I was in high school, set on a Terra-formed Mars.  Most of them were Hammer's Slammers rip-offs, but one of my more imaginative ideas focused on a rescue mission.  The rescuee was a costumed fellow who flew holiday gifts to families around the planet, using a modified C-130 as the delivery vehicle.  I don't remember what the propulsion system was, but the modded -130 had eight engines, and the names of Santa's reindeer were painted on the nacelles.  I haven't thought of those stories in years, but I saw the pix on ARC, and the memories flooded back to me.

I guess great minds do think alike.

Thankies! The Goose didn't pan out the way I wanted to, as I was originally goinf with an all-white scheme with red hi vis panels, but just plain ole ran out of time! In the end tho, overall grey just looks right!
