Title: 2006-My year in models
Post by: AeroplaneDriver on December 15, 2006, 07:14:10 AM
The word has been given from on high that my Sea JAguar will likely be the last thing I have time to build in 2006...so here is my tally for the year-12 models.  Clearly I have a fondness of 1/72 UK models, but there are a few others in there too.  The first build of the year was my Secret Santa Skyraider Firebomber, the last the Sea Jag I finished yesterday.  The IDF Harrier was technically a restoration, not a build, but what the hell...I count it!

I also did 12 last year, but a couple were real-world armor-this year was all whiff!

Number 12 was built in England and stayed there

AD, that is a beautiful collection! I don't know how you can crank out one a month and still have them come out so great...very envious.

Rafa-

The nose of that build came from a Rafale.  I sanded the radome/forward fuselage down to get the stealthy diamond cross section, and also sanded the kit canopy to a more stealthy shape.  Since my skills are not up to creating a clear canopy with the stealthy shape, I just masked the shape I wnated and painted it silver.  Looking back on it now I feel like it would have looked better if I had known the miracle of Milliput back then.

A-D, That's a wondeful build!!!, and a good thing to do with a Rafale, besides having it as a Rafale!

Precious collection, Hope next year's builds double this one's in cuantity.

Saludos.
Rafa.
