even though some were made, none really saw action, so I guess my weathered '38 will sort of fit into the whatif model workbench, though by a wh*re's hair:

Great looking model! I like it!

Wha'cha build it from? B) Great work! The P-38 is my favorite WW2 bird.
I have an ancient 1/32 Revell -38 that is going to get the same treatment, plus a Tamiya Zero that'll be built and trashed for a diorama. Someday...

Yeah, it took forever to find some good aftermarket decals, but finally was able to apply them last night:

So did Revell & Monogram had a 1/48 kit.
I don't think it could have turned out any better! ...well unless ya added pink polka dots :P
Nice build Greg :)
Very cool and it does not matter if it's whif our not, always happy to see your work.
:)
Yowsa Greg another amazing, artistic build! I really like it in that nightfighter scheme. I've been toying with some nightfighter ideas myself. That "almost-black" color on it, is that something I can find at the LHS or was it a custom mix? Currently I'm contemplating trying to get away with using a very very dark gray.
TIA,
Brian da Basher
That's an aircraft thats always interested me - nice build
Thanks! I wish this black would photograph easier...no wonder they were such a bitch to shoot down...
