Title: Fun with Photoshop!
Post by: BlackOps on June 04, 2006, 09:50:07 AM
At the request of John "Baz" Howling Mouse I am starting a thread for Pics of our kits that have been photo edited into realitic settings to give the illusion of reality...you know the JMN confusion factor :)

Here are two I did for Barry's F-16T as seen in Archibald's Lancer thread.

If ya got 'em post 'em :)

Thanks, Jeff!  I'm throwing the last couple of Matrixe One's into action.  And the ones I did for Glenn's ME and Eddie's spaceplane.

More.  I recall the CAF X-wing being Alvis' but I'm not sure who did the others.

Glenn's starship:

Can't recall who did this one but it's cool:

(https://www.whatifmodellers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv727%2Fjohnhowlingmouse%2Fpost-2-1136018268.jpg&hash=0769f01202560b7fb412038ffe2537ab12cc6e37)

I had reworked Glenn's Biplane shot and put Zac's Dagger into the air (nowhere near as talented as Jeff G, but it's a start!):

(https://www.whatifmodellers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv727%2Fjohnhowlingmouse%2FGlennsbiplane.jpg&hash=9e525f9d8dba4e58ef09452d5f1ae7de4412063d)

Yes!  And sorry 'bout the hijacked thread, Archibald.  Love this Lancer!

Can't recall if this was Alvis' X-wing or someone else's.

(https://www.whatifmodellers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv727%2Fjohnhowlingmouse%2FRAAFX-Wing.jpg&hash=9ea310fcca19161a3fcc7cecb3159ab5f588a809)

Of course, Matrixone could pretty much have his own dedicated thread when it comes to magical modeling imagery:

(https://www.whatifmodellers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv727%2Fjohnhowlingmouse%2F148671207.jpg&hash=e8ed8f64f0fbf3c6a2e607973d115015e7dc6443)

Bloody hell - some of those are really hard to tell that they aren't real.  I especially like the F-16T, Glenn's Biplane and of course Matrixone's Horten.

This is one of my early attempts of Air to Air photography. Taken on a Pentax Spotmatic with an F4 Macro using the Crown 1/144 F-111 and a Monogram 1/288 KC-135 tanker. When shooting different scales, just make sure the smaller model is in the background. These two were taken about an inch apart.

Firstly I have to say that if GTX hadn't of said that those photo's of the Iranian birds photoshopped models I would have gone to my grave swearing they were the real deal. They are simply amazing.
I also want to say that all of themodels that have been photoshopped arwe simply amazing and so lifelike it's unbeleivable. One of my favourites has got to be the TU160. That oicture is simply beautiful.

More of the 1/400 scale Blackjack (not bad for a little diecast model that cost me only $10!):

I mentioned our Photoshop fun to an up and coming young CGI artist named Leonard Jobb and, within minutes, he had placed one of my first ever kitbashes (an interstellar patrol drone) into this background.

I've really got to learn how to use the object selection tools in Photopaint!

Why worrying about hijacking my Lancer picture? It's a great honor for me you loved it :)
I asked Tophe putting my Breguet onto the Foch and Clemenceau flight deck
