One Week Build - 2021 / Re: The 2020 1-Week GB VOTE OPEN

I think the first image in the poll has gone missing.

Thanks for letting me know, did the link take you to the image?  That happens for me.
Had a lot of trouble sorting out that particular image - initially I could only see it on my smartphone but after some work it was also visible on my PC.  But now it has gone.

Tophe apologies for this, don’t know what has gone wrong.

I just read that the T-50 is under consideration for a possible Irish Air Corps Air Defense aircraft...just in case you are not dead set on Portuguese...  ;)

About time they had something for that task even vaguely effective.

The Hornet was fast. If your collection seems to be missing a civilian aircraft, a Hornet should work as an air racer.

This is a good idea and I actually thought about it, but I've worked around civilian aircraft since I was 17...Maybe that just makes them to familiar, so I prefer building military aircraft.  Not saying a racer is 100% ruled out yet, but as of tonight (main assembly done and primed) I'm now leaning toward a RAAF machine in the dark green their Beaufighters wore.

Thank you all for the nice words!

And it looks more like a aircraft than I thought it would when I read the first few posts.
Indeed it's a flying machine and more specifically it's an atmospheric antigravity flying craft, which means that it moves in air and not in the vacuum of space or on a far planet with less gravity. That why the craft has more or less an aerodynamic form. In a difference to an airplane in doesn't create lift. I usually build crafts with some known type of propulsion (jets, rockets, propellers) and the AG-device, called in my builds "antigraviton" is used for the hover function only. There are many types of AG-machines and some of them not only hover but also move in all directions because of their AG-devices.
I wanted to write more about the model's armament, based on the real VP-63 M.A.D. Cats history and modifications. I'll post some additional details tomorrow.

Cheers!

Chris, i'd like to ask if you can move this topic over to the current projects/aircraft page, please. Obviously, i couldn't finish it inside the deadline so i'll be trying to do it later. TIA
Done! 😎

IMHO only a Soviet design bureau could have come up with this idea. It's so odd that it's cool again.
In Italy, the Piaggio P.119 had such a radial central engine, not as derivative of P-39 but as similar project
