Does the SIG have a stand there?

Yes we do.
text from the email I received this morning from the show boss

QuoteDear Model Club / S.I.G

Our show is taking place next Sunday 7th August.

The halls should be open from 07:00 when the staff open up the venue.

Public will be admitted from 09:30, please do your best to set up by then.

Wristband passes will be available for collection from the entrance reception. Please can one person from your club / group collect passes for all your attending members. Those attending after the public access times will have to pay the public entrance fee.

We have reduced the size of the show to 2 main halls, however we have use of the Severnside suite above hall 1 where some clubs will have their displays.

We request that each club has one box of items for 'under the table' sales; this reflects that traders have paid a lot more in order to trade. There are some clubs who have paid for trade table space.

Due to all available space being taken up for club displays  and traders, there is no competition this year.

The venue has said that it will be providing catering in hall 1

The show will finish at 4.00pm

Looking forward to meeting you all at the show.

Best wishes

Please note, Those attending to display on the stand will be asked to assist cover the £20 cost for the table hire that I was charged when booking the SIG in.
I always hope for the best.

I'm afraid i won't be there this year, even if it is my 'local show'. :(

I can almost see the venue from my front door, but there's a socking great River in between us.....

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A quick update for those attending.

We are not in our usual slot in hall 1 this year. We are in hall 2 for a change.
Going by the sketch plan sent to me by our friends at IPMS Coventry and Warwickshire theres been a bit of a revamp in the layout, hall one doesn't look as busy (to me anyway) as it has done in the past.
I always hope for the best.

A good show, though only in two halls this year. The one thing we (Thames Valley Scale model Club) did notice was that it was busy in the morning but after lunch it was very quiet.

But we'll be back for 2023.

You clearly didn't try hard enough, Martin!  I was like that at Milton Keynes but then a couple of items called out 'buy me, buy me', hence the Hobbycraft CF-100!
