The kit started life as the 1/72 Italeri Boeing MH-47E SOA Chinook but now has the twin tail fins from the Hobbycraft Boeing V-22 Osprey. This is the mock up.

And this is the head on view,  I am using the original engines and just the rear rotor stack. The front stack has been cut to fit the gap,it might have a radome fitted or optical sight.

Rear view and yes this time the gaps will be filled in.

Funds are a little bit tight at the moment due to the Government wanting their Covid-19 Emergency allowance back which has taken 90%  of my Universal Credit payment for this month.
There are a few places that sell model kits that aren't complete and I have my eye on a 1/72 Grumman E-2C Hawkeye and Bronco.

Fairey Chronodyne - a time travelling gunship rotorcraft reportedly spotted in the skies over Spain during the Peninsular War.  Following ammunition resupply issues it was rearmed with muskets and cannonades...

It does look a bit like a time machine sent from the future.
