I just had a look for reviews of the old ZTS Plastyk/Mastercraft TS-11 Iskra, which I KNOW is a nightmare because I've built it, but I can't find one review online.

This one? Built it last year, the absolute worst kit(?) I have ever seen.

Never seen that boxing, but if it has a full engine with no way to display it and a round-cornered canopy that 'fits' in a square-cornered hole, then it's the same one.

Seriously reworked it into a recce:

Even more if it has the name of the manufacturer AND the aircraft type moulded onto the OUTSIDE of the fuselage!  :o

Who did that?  Perfect kit for this theme!

Lindberg or Aurora I think.

A long time ago I had an F-86D that had 'F-86D' moulded into the nose, and it was around 1/48 scale so one of those two manufacturers would have been most likely.
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Think I'm right in saying that the Revellogram 1/72nd 2-seat Skyraider has the name and type printed on the underside of one of the tailplanes...

The Lindberg 1/72 Sikorsky HH-3E kit has come out better than the 1/72 Revell Sikorsky HH-3E. Try as I might,  I can't get the seem lines to disappear unlike the Lindberg kit.

Pretty sure that the Hawk/Testors Swift had (c) 1954 on the underside of one of the tailplanes. Just checked my examples but they've already been sanded off and painted over. It definitely had recessed markings for roundels on both wing and fuselage, fin flash, and the serial near the tailplane.

The Revell FTB-scale B-47 has molded on stars-n-bars.

Atlantis 1/181 B-36, raised roundels, USAF and United States Air Force wording

Never having seen one, I was really excited when this was re-released and bought 2 last year.  I was less excited after opening the box. :-\  more of a toy kit from the old 1950's Revell, but hey its a B-36.  No landing gear, no detail.....

So any early thoughts on a "old kit" GB?  Does a modern reissue of a very old mold count?  Personally I don't think it should, bring out those old musty, stained, boxes!!

Last time we did an old kit GB it was baed on the age of the mould.  Scalemates is a good source for this information.
