This will be the place for your general chit-chat regarding the Logistics Group Build
Decals my @r$e!

I'm looking forward to this.  I have an aircraft and a truck planned.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I have thoughts about late Victorian navies and "coaling ship"    I assume that this will be considered sufficiently logistical.

Here's a GB I thought of entering, I'll have to see if I can manage it now ---
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

I've had an idea for something like this for a long time. An under armor supply vehicle based on a Bradley hull. No turret, lengthen the hull and clean out the inside. Maybe fold back armor panels to protect troops unloading. We shall see.
I'll meet you on the dark side of the moon.

For the aviation part, is Logistics meaning Cargo?

A nice big aerial port diorama! Cargo aircraft, trucks, forklifts and people running around.

I think that a coal transport ship, a "collier" is a perfect subject for this.  As is an oiler, tanker etc that carry "fuel" for other ships, or between ports.  The collier was was hugely important to supporting the far flung coal stations during the the short, but interesting, era of coal fired steam ships.

When I proposed this GB I had the idea that an aircraft for this build could include general cargo aircraft, Fed Ex types, tankers to pass fuel to other aircraft, etc, but not really a true "combat" aircraft.  Anything hauling "stuff" be it beans, fuel or equipment I would think.  A C-87 (the transport version of the Liberator, or a combat aircraft coverted to cargo I would think would be a good fit,  Paratroopers would likely fit the bill, but I think the flavor for aircraft is more for "trash haulers" (C-130, Skyvan, Belfast, A-400, C-119, Fed-Ex type freighters, early mail planes, etc).   In my opinion I would not include straight up airliners carrying passengers, but would leave that to the esteemed mods.

I feel safe in saying that Thunderbird 2 is definitely a Logistics machine.
An SR-71 in Fed-Ex or DHL colours should be right too.
Airships carrying oversize loads.

Convert a King Tiger as a Schlepper Wagon for the Maus.

There was talk of the Royal Navy having nuclear powered supply ships in the 60s.
A big idea of late is sail-driven large cargo ships. https://news.mongabay.com/2021/03/new-age-of-sail-looks-to-slash-massive-maritime-carbon-emissions/

I understand better, thanks.
