Hey, at least the Russian weapons set has everything in even numbers, unlike the recent US weapon sets (starting with #5) that have most of everything in threes, forcing you to buy two in most cases... :banghead:
That is very annoying, you are right there.

My Meng Achzarit arrived today! At first fondle it looks like a great kit. LOTS of parts! The upper hull is awesome.
I'll meet you on the dark side of the moon.

Ordered last month but delivered today

2 x Aoshima 1/700 HMS Illustrious 1941 (new tool).

They did Illustrious and Victorious but the toolings were poor and detail basic, Aoshima have retooled the kit to their current standards and its quite good .I would say very good but Flyhawk are also working on a 1940 Illustrious and that will be a super detailed kit complete with etch, brass, hanger deck and extremely finely detailed plastic parts. Yes it will cost more and yes I will get one but the Aoshima ones will be handy for a couple of ideas I have

That's got to be a LOT of plastic you've got there Cap'n!

The build thread will be awesome.

The Wooksta!

I got one of these a week back off ebay.  Well, the Dapol/Kitmaster one...

Because I remember watching these being shunted in and out of the Heaton depot when I was a kid. Especially the summer of 1981.

New at my Stash.

U gusha stupa! Even though the Zvezda (soon to be Revell rebox) is bigger and better detailed, I really want one of these. Lovely! Please share your build here?

The Chaos

Yes wen I build this I make a building thread here.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Might be OK to display with a Battlestar for some serious cross over

Its OK but simplified and Revell have added a fold down landing gear which will need to be filled in to tidy up the build.

A cheap (EUR 7,-) 1:72 Bilek F-4E/F, actually a re-boxed Italeri kit. No real plan for the Phantom so far, it was just a good occasion I could not resist.  ;)

Word of advice, throw the decals away. They tend to disintergrate on contact with water.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
