A Tamiya 1:72 Birdcage F4U - intended to be built OOB, but in a "Yellow Wings" livery. Should look interesting.

Nice kit and idea. I think I've seen photo's of one of the prototypes in a Yellow Wings scheme ? Just checked and it had yellow wings but an overall natural metal body

Got home from a couple of days at my girlfriends to find that I had

From ebay

1 x 1/84 TASMAN Models Decals V4807 which has two F4H-1 prototypes for "Project Top Flight" and "Sageburner", markings for an F/A 18A of RAAF 3 Squadron and markings for a Mirage IIID of 2 OCU Royal Australian Air Force. I really wanted to get set V7205 which does the same stuff in 1/72 but this set will do for now.

also received from Hannants

1 x 1/72 Transport Wings Shackleton MR.3 Phase 3 conversion set.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Redone 19/08/15  the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady added 07/10/18   take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.   wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Came home from work to find a 1/72 Academy Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter sitting on the doorstep.
This will either be Vixen 03 (first Clive Cussler book I read), zenrat industries or another civilian scheme.
Or, maybe it could be an Aeroflot cargo version of the Tu4...

So you have random deliveries of plastic models around your parts? I wish we had that kind if service around here!

A box of 1/48 Northrop F-89D parts arrived at home yesterday, and at work after Court there was a bagged AMT 1/48 P-40F/L waiting for me. Lovely!

I wish.  It was an Evil-Bay win at a very satisfactory low price.  The odd thing was although Mrs z was in as she was chucking a sicky my parcel man didn't ring the bell but just left it.
Still, it meant I got it into the stash without having to answer any questions.
