What do you plan to build in near future?

When I was tidying up my room I came across a photo of a German WWII four engined bomber that looked to me to be the same shape and build to the B-29 but with shoulder mounted wings and twin-fin tail the Messerschmitt Me 264. I could kitbash the twin fin tail onto an Academy B-29 or Airfix B-29 and go for a shoulder mounted wing by cutting the section out and flipping it over to gain a bit of height.

I'm working on a 1/48 Bronco JF-17 Thunder. Been mulling over a paint scheme for it. I researched for possible customers for the plane. Leaning toward an Indonesian in the scheme their F-16s have now, lt. gray/lt. mint green. A lot like the colors used on MiG-29s. Also considered Myanmar (Burma). It kooks like they may actually be the first customer. Other markings that were considered were Tunisia, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Brazil, and Qatar. All of them possible actual customers for the JF-17.

I've had two positive offers for my stash, one interested in "Ere John got a new motor' 10 1/24 & 1/25 European and American muscle cars and fifty 1/72 & 1/144 aircraft kits.
All my planned builds are on hold as I've had some enquiries about the kits with missing pieces.
Still got the spare parts bins to raid and kitbash my started builds.

well, at the moment, i have 4/5 builds on the go, 2 1/144 F/A-18E's (Canadian and Belgian), 2 1/72 Sea Kings (commision builds, Belgian AF) and a 1/72 CF-105 Arrow, currently on hold.

next to start are:

-1/72 PM Ta.183 Hückebein (with additional and updated parts)
-1/72 NH90-NFH (Commision Builds, Belgian AF)
-1/144 Airbus A350-900 (SABENA)

to start in the near future:

-1/72 Airbus A400M (Belgian AF, to start when the NH90's are done)
-1/144 Airbus A400M (Various versions planned when the kit comes out in late august or later)
-1/144 Airbus CC-45T (RCAF tanker, based on the A330-MRTT)
-1/144 Airbus A320 (2 aircraft, possibly a maretime patrol aircraft and a tanker, markings unknown)

The B-58 and Mirage IV A 1/72 kitbash. Putting the Mirage fuselage halves onto the upper fuselage of the Hustler. Could get four exhaust pipes out the back. Still in the idea stage.
EF-4 K/M using the Matchbox kit with parts from the Dreammodel resin E/A-18G Growler kit.
Austin FX4 Taxi Rat using rust effect paints.
Two seater F-22 preproduction.
Boeing SST one military, the other wearing different decals to Pan Am.
Ford Capri four door MKI, Ford Capri Monogram using the windscreen from the Monogram Lincoln Futura, convertible conversion.
F-104 with U-2 parts, RF-3 Tornado.

The thought of a Ho or 00 Harry Potter World of Adventure. Card kits from the SuperQuick line could be used and altered to give a row of shops similar to Diagon Alley. Kings Cross Station could be scratched built and the Hornby or Metcalf station to represent Hogsmeade. You could scratch build Hogwarts Castle from card kitchen roles. I've got the Airfix Sherwood Forest Castle and a Norman 1/76 Eastern European castle kit unbuilt. There are card castle kits as well. Model railway scenery for hills and grass.
I've got a Pecco track plans book, that will come in handy.
Of course l'll need a helipad to ferry the tourists in.

Once I'm in a position to do some proper modelling in the (hopefully) near future I plan to do a few Mistel types, starting with a Mistel trainer, top aircraft probably a Arado Ar 96, bottom probably a Messerschmitt bf 110.

What an excellent idea.  Wish i'd thought of it.
How about using more obsolete planes like a He 61 or Hs 123 on the top and an He 70 or even a Stuka on the bottom?

Haven't touched a model for at least a month... too busy with work, building PC for friends and building a new bbq and fixing the wind blown fences (fence panel prices have just comeback to normal following Christmas's little blast).

Anyway won't be starting anything for the next fortnight as I'm away bowling in a tournament in Dublin for four days next week but the juices are beginning  to flow. I have a 1/144th E-3A and I'm thinking of using its radar dome on a 1/72 Mirage IV would that work. Might need to piggy back some form of cabin extension for the operators.

Also thinking of an American Mistel using a Twin Mustang not sure what to use with it though.

Anybody no of any model shops in Dublin ? Preferably near Stillorgan ?

Squeeze them into what passes for a weapons bay on a Mirage IV? Yes, I know the bomb was semi-recessed but you wouldn't need the support structure or the big radar in the belly, bags of room for two small opserators.

A P-77? That's tiny and it would look good perched over the centre section. Or were you thinking of the P-82 as the TOP half? In that case a B-35 would be just the job.

Problem is I haven't got a Black Widow in the stash. Got an old Hawkeye but then the new / old ages are the wrong way round.

I too have a few idea's for allied "Mistel" aircraft combo's but as the term Mistel applies to German combinations what would be a suitable common name to apply to them?

Well Mistel is German for Mistletoe which hardly sounds threatening, holly would be more prickly. I suppose by the configuration 'Piggyback' or 'hogsback' would be more descriptive.
