My wife ordered this pod racer ,  so i started with engine design like she wants it ... Big Fat Short , and they will be fixed with arms at the front .

Pilot seat is in a open cabin just with a small shield,
but it is moved to the end of fuselage , also the wings , and changed it to shoulder wings .

He he, nice. Given the size, you could also use an 1:48 scale pilot/driver figure? Would come closer to the sport devices' dimensions?

Fine idea , I always think about that changing of measures in just the  opposite direction . But the pilot bay is just the half of the normal size right now .  I start to build a moveable engine holder to make them turntable up and down with some small magnets  inside , I am curios about the magnetic effect of direction with the poles of the magnets .  Maybe it is safer to use one magnet and a screw on the counterpart ?    Pix will come later ....

So today just worked the engine pods ...
Some neodym magnets from cigarette papers and some screws do the job .  Why does it need 4-5 hours for that ?

Something went wrong with my uploads, this is it now ...

And the moveable pods are realy funny, a new experience to modellwork for me .
And now the Color again, don't know realy what to do with it .  There are 4-5 new builds ready without Color on it ,
maybe I need to take a break with whatif models , need to play guitar again, did not touch any instrument for two weeks right now.

It's a racer mate so paint it like one...bright colors Iike you'd see on a real pod racer  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Chrome spray? Oooooh, that could come in handy.

Fred, are you reading this?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit
