I have yet to finalise how this one fits in with the GB.  Current favourite is freelance Pirate Hunter.
It's the fuselage from the Kawanishi E7K1 which donated it's floats to the Morane combined with the wings from a Mitsubishi Ki-15.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Fred, why not reverse the wings and make it a pusher, like Crimson Skies?
"Mind that bus." "What bus?" *SPLAT!*

I've decided it's an English Electric Staghound.
English Electric made a few of their own aircraft designs pre war and also bought out Napier in 1942.

If ever there was an aircraft that said "I'm a rugged brute", that's one.

Thanks folks.

The main stand out for me is the engine cowling shape.  The Kawanishi had a Japanese developed version of the Napier Lion so I am calling this one Lion powered.  Incidentally I have in my stash a resin 1/72 (natch) Supermarine Sea Lion II which has a complete detailed Napier Lion...

Now had its first coat of primer and is ready for PSR.

The Hiro Type 91 W-12 was based on the Lorraine 12Fa Courlis rather than the Lion.  ;)

W engines of any make are the perfect choice for air pirate machinery.  ;D

Old Wombat

Those engines start out looking positively "steampunk" & end up looking positively "dieselpunk"!

Fantastic looking contraptions!  ;D

Thanks, Jon!

What!  A mistake in Wikipedia!
:o
Thanks Jon.

I'll still be calling it a Lion.

Slapped some putty on today.

First round of PSR completed.

Decided to make it French.  New name is Nieuport-Delage Lévrier.

Today I cleared this so I could put the transfers on it.
Then, after it had dried I cleared it again, this time using the gloss clear I had intended to use the first time.

A certain Billy Zane movie was on the idiots lantern tonight.  It reminded me of some facts to put into the back story for this.
In it Catherine Zeta Jones flies a nice little Grumman G-164 Sea Cat.
