To increase range very much a second fuselage full of gasoline was required: <_<

You could also build the Boeing B-54

Between the B-17 source and the B-29 source was a B-24, this is not Boeing at all but anyway I may show you the related Recce twin-fuselage version: <_<

Thanks,  the B-32 would also look good as well

Tophe

Yes, as the Consolidated B-24 was a source, the Consolidated B-32 was one too, for a member of this family: <_<

Thanks Tophe. The B-36 already had the range.

<_< Yes, the Consolidated R-36 was the (secret) ancestor of the Convair B-36: <_<

Too symmetrical Tophe!  You need a zwilling combining a B-17 and a B-24. with mixed engines and turrets; I think the B-17's inner, B-24's outer.  Late model ships, of course, so you get the off-set pair of nose turrets, one up and one down.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Tophe

Thanks JoeP, here is the B-17/B-24 mix of your dream. I just went further a little in asymmetry, without searching for engine balance... ;)

The asymmetric undercarriage might have been a little fragile...

Surely the answer to this quoting PR19_Kit, is "longer wings"? ;D

There isnt any problem that cant be solved by longer wings!     ;D

Tophe

Uh? Extending the wings on which one?
This is easy on the vector drawing related to B-36, but less easy on the photographs (requiring to "invent" pixels in the background)... ;)
