It was out next to the bench as I am using the floats on a Dragon Rapide.  So rather than put it away...

Probably to be Flying Doctor.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Repop of the Matchbox kit. I always found the prop a bit anemic, but the kit is otherwise quite nice.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Old Wombat

Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

There are some knarly sink marks on the fuselage.
Interior is a blank canvas (but at least there is something in there to work from) - I have dug out some civilian figures (actually model railway passengers) to be crew and orderlies.
It may get an inline engine.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Current "Flypast" magazine has an article on  Noorduyn Norsemen.
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Go on, give it a Griffon!!  You know it makes nonsense!

A Norseman with turboprop and an insanely extended nose sction for CoG reason would certainly look intersting...

I also have a Norseman earmarked as a potential submission for this GB, but only as a livery whif so far. But the current mecha conversion has priority.

Interior is completed.  I resisted getting carried away as not too much will be seen through the windows.

The stretchers are from the ambulance in the old Airfix airfield emergency set.  IRL they fitted four stretchers into Norsemen.  I'm not sure how.
Inline engine swap is going ahead using the nose of a Microace Yokosuka D4Y2 - widened with wedges to match the rear to the Norseman's chubby little fuselage.
Next challenge is painting a nurses uniform in 1/72.

They look like they're sitting there having afternoon tea!  ;D

Cracking job getting all that lot on there, even if you won't ever see it again.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

They are waiting for clearance from the tower.

Perhaps a Menasco Unitwin?

Perhaps a development of the Unitwin,  The Super-Unitwin?
D4Y2 was powered by a license built DB601 so it's an inverted vee anyway.
