Rebanian Interstellar Ion Ship "Uur-Lja", 2127

Soon after their departure into space, the Rebaner discovered an apparently habitable planet in the Päft system 1.2 light-years away. Since the distance could not be travelled with the available technical means, further investigation was carried out with telescopes placed in orbit in the Icin.
About 80 years later, a probe equipped with an ion propulsion system could be sent on its long journey to the Icin. The flight time was 15 years. (More on this later)
It turned out that the third planet in the Päft system was habitable for Rebaners, so it was decided to send a manned ship on the long journey.

The ship, called Uur-Lja, surpassed everything the Rebaners had built so far. With a length of more than 570 meters, the ship could take almost 300 Rebaners on the 15-year long flight. The ship should reach a speed of 10% of the speed of light.
In addition to two plasma cruisers for further exploration of the Päft system, two large landing craft were on board for landing on the planets of the Päft system.
A rotating ring around the main body was able to generate a gravity of about 20% of the strength on Icin, the ship was also equipped with a biosphere dome for crew recovery.

When the Rebaners were "discovered" by the EX-1 under Major Ethan McBoyd in 2127, the Uur-Lja was still about a year away from completion. Due to the changed conditions - the Rebaners now had access to the faster-than-light space flight - the flight of the Uur-Lja was cancelled and the ship was not completed.

The ship orbited the planet Icin for more than 20 years until it was bought by an enterprising Reban. He had the ship completed according to the original plans and then offered the "Great Journey". Rebaners could spend short periods of time, days or weeks, on board and thus cover a section of the journey to the Päft system. This type of vacation was enthusiastically received by the Rebaners and after their return to the planet Icin in 2181, the Uur-Lja was used as a flying adventure park in orbit of Icin.

The two landing craft and blue cargo containers for the plasma cruiser.

On the bow, a anti-asteroid gun.

Engines and fuel tanks at the stern of the ship.

The model

The model of the Uur-Lja was created in Tinkercad and then printed on a scale of 1:3000 mainly with a resin printer. Some parts were produced with an FDM printer. The model was painted with Revell Aqua Color. The length is 19 cm.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Steel Penguin

that has come together amazingly well.  :o

id say I couldn't hear you over the sound of how awesome it is,  but in space no one can hear you...
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

The Rat

Must have been a plumber's nightmare to construct, but the result is awesome!
