What an awesome machine!  :o Even if it does only do 8 mph....

Does anyone do a model kit of it?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I assume that this mighty device has a lot in common with the  Tortoise heavy assault tank (A39), as noted on Wikipaedia.

That it does.  And same purpose- blow a hole into the Siegfried Line, fall back and let the "lighter" forces exploit said gap.

Interior!

Crew positions and interior features of the last T28 / T95 American superheavy tank

And apparently between the last video and this, the NACC attached the outer suspension assemblies

Here's some still pics of attaching the outer track assemblies from Sofi's Twitter feed. They used two M88A2 recovery vehicles to do the job.

Only because the T28 was sans engine & gearbox, it's supposed to be able to drop the units off, then drive up on either side to attach them..

Nice to see a man skilled in the use of a 14 1/2 lb micro adjuster.

An essential item of that MONSTER'S tool kit I imagine.  :o

He looks in a slightly precarious position while swinging that hammer
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm sure he has carried out a full Job Safety Analysis and written a Safe Work Method Statement.

It is funny how when your only tool is a sledgehammer, all problems resemble, well drivable things.  I present to you, the Irishman's Screwdriver...

Spent the weekend with a mate who repairs Land Rovers for a living. He described his sledgehammer as an essential Landie tool!
