Flickr album chock full of cutways from EAGLE comic and other 50's - 80's magazine articles and period posters.  Plenty of real world, project and speculative/futurisitics to get the creative juices flowing, 28 pages of it!

Mostly British themed with some American material, although I've only got through the first three pages.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks Mossie, the memories come flooding back

Wheeeee Yes!
Ah memories. I used to have so many of these drawings stapled to my bedroom walls.

Thanks for the link.
Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

By the time I got to it, Eagle was in it's 80's incarnation.  I got my friends copies when he'd finished with them.  No cutaways and I found the photo-strips weird.
I did get hold of some annuals and older copies, the only perk of being dragged around the village jumble sales.  I would paw over the cutaways, albeit a little old fashioned when I saw them.
More recently I picked up the Eagle Annual of the Cutaways.  I was thumbing through it which took me a googling.  I have to grin at a Hillman Minx mentioned as an example of a 'modern' car.

Interesting that this illustration makes no mention of a Junkers W 33 making the first successful
East-West crossing by a heavier-than-air machine. D-1167 Bremen on April 12–13, 1928.

Too late...................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Tigervark is a whif, right? I only recall one with a striped tail.
Looks cool, though.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Woah!  Nearly got sucked in there - massive potential time thief.  Excellent pictures.  I'll come back later.

If you go here you can access it by individual albums.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
